Ever since I ran out of breath laughing so hard at the trailer for "SORORITY BOYS" when I saw "Not Another Teen Movie" I've been dying to see it. It opened last weekend and even though I was sick and my throat was killing me, I had to go see it. So I went and I wasn't disappointed. Sorority Boys is absolutely hilarious and made me laugh out loud, which doesn't happen often. A lot of times I will watch a comedy and I'll think it's funny but I don't laugh out loud. I might smile or chuckle, but it's rare to here me laugh out loud during a movie. But Sorority Boys did it. It was downright HILARIOUS. It may not be an award winner but I don't care, so far it's the most fun I've had at the movies in 2002.
Harland Williams never failed to make me laugh, I found him hilarious. Whenever I'd look at him in drag I'd laugh. Especially the "I'm Addicted To Porn" thing. I'd seen it so many times in the previews and it never failed to make me laugh. And I still laughed at it when I saw the movie. In fact, I can't stop repeating it.
I've never really liked Michael Rosenbaum and I've only watched The WB's Smallville once. But he was great as Adina. He was so damn funny. And he actually looked really good as a girl, man do I feel really wierd saying that. But it's true, he actually looks better as a girl than he does a guy.
Barry Watson did fine as Daisy/Dave, but he was definitely my least favorite of the guys and definitely the least interesting. But he still did alright.
Overall, SORORITY BOYS is one hell of a fun comedy and the best one out right now. I'd see it again. It may be unrealistic and immature, but it made me laugh and that's all that matters. At least it has originality going for it, I haven't seen a movie like it in a long time.
If you want to laugh your ass off, go see it.
