Favorite-The chick bouncing around the ceiling in NOES.
Least favorite-(tie)Private Mellish, Sgt. Horvath, and Capt. Miller in Saving Private Ryan. I just did not want them to die. And it really pisses me off royally that Cpl. Upham lived. God I hate him.

The Joker in Batman. At least he went out with a laugh at the end.
The Penquin, in Batman Returns. The scene with the Emperor Penguins leading him into the water was just perfect.
Oh this one is great, Brad Pitt's death in Meet Joe Black. You know, where he gets hit by those multiple cars!? i remember watching that in the theater with my cousin and seeing him jump up out of his chair screaming "YES!! DO IT AGAIN!!! Worth the price of admission right there!" It was hysterical.
Commudus' death in Gladiator. The entire audience in the theater clapped and cheered when Russell jammed that dagger in his neck.
William Wallace's death in Braveheart. That's just one big "duh" right there.
General Cale in Willow. Even though he took two swords to the gut, he still had enough in him to bitch slap Val Kilmer twice in the face!
Worst deaths -
Meg Ryan in City of Angels. Totally manipulative, formulaic SAP!
This death is good in one sense cause it seemed so realistic and yet bad in the same sense. i can't remember the character's name, but it was the Jewish soldier in Saving Private Ryan. The scene where he's over powered by the German soldier and slowly has that knife plunged into his chest. That...Was... Fucked...Up. Especially that part where he said "Wait a minute! Wait!" Gave me chills cause I felt like that would be the exact same thing I would say! (chills)
And yeah, I can't believe Upman lived! Just like the midget in Alien Resurrection, he should have bit it the minute something nasty came by.

SE7EN
When Mills' wife Tracy is decapitated by John Doe, although it happened offscreen, it hurt me because she really wanted to get out of the city.
And John Woo's the Killer
Chow was close to killing the main bad guy but got shot in the chest about seven times or something and also got shot in the eyes too (i think, his eyes were fucked up). I was happy the cop killed the main bad guy though.
And another one, i think this must the saddest death scene in A Better Tomorrow (1986). Before Chow Yun-Fat can finish his sentence to Kit his head his blown through (not done yet) and while still barely alive, getting his body fucked up with hundred's of bullet holes and slugs.

*******SPOILER WARNING*******
HAL’s death in 2001: A Space Odyssey, without a doubt.
I have never seen a more chilling death sequence. The fact that it was the death of something not human, or arguably living, makes it all the more so, because HAL expresses the exact fears which most humans would be privy to at such a time.
He,(or it?), ironically, becomes more human, and alive, in the moments that precede his death, through his desperate pleas for Dave to stop.
Exquisitely filmed, brilliant use of sound,( HAL’s haunting rendition of “Daisy”, will forever haunt my mind), 2001: A Space Odyssey will always be the movie I remember for its death sequence.

FINAL DESTINATION - I don't remember the actress' name (or her character's name for that matter) but she played the blonde who was bitching at everyone while stepping off a sidewalk and then SLAM, a speeding bus disintegrates her and blood goes all over. Didn't see that one coming!
BULLY - Brutal to watch Nick Stahl getting it the worst way I have seen in awhile on film and from his "friends" no less. As Ebert said, a good depiction of how murder isn't easily done and over with as is depicted in some movies. If Requiem For A Dream should be shown in classrooms, Bully should be the matinee.

Well, I am only gonna go with two for now, and those two would probably be;
Boromir in FotR, and Donnie in Donnie Darko.
The combination of music, lighting, and acting made Boromirs death really great. Merry and Pippins expressions as they watch him get shot with arrow after arrow, and than their valiant final rush to avenge Boromirs death, only to be captured. Yeah, his death (or redemption; whichever way you want to look at it) and final speech with Aragorn really does it for me: "I would have followed you my brother,.... My Captain,..... My King,....." Good stuff.
And than there is Donnie. The first time I saw the film, I thought it was sad, but with subsequent viewings I find it more and more tragic. Here is a person with so much to offer, and when he finally does, he has to, basically, go back in time and kill himself. Its for the sake of the universe, but all the same. Anyways, yes, I find his death, and the entire ending sequence quite sad now.

*SPOILERS*
Best- Boris the Blade in Snatch- He just wouldnt die, whenever Tony would hit him he would keep trying to get up. That was so funny.
Sonny In the Godfather- Sonny had no way of getting away from them. He was ambushed.
Ian Mckellan in LOTR- When he stands up to the big fire demon and turns around and get pulled down with it.
Saddest
Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge. I love that movie, but the ending is so sad.
Kevin Spacey in American Beauty- He had no idea that he was going to die.
Worst
Leo DiCaprio in Titanic when he freezes to death.
Meg Ryan in City of Angels when she is riding her bicycle in the road not looking where she going.
