I need you guy's opinions on QUEEN OF THE DAMNED.

I want to see Queen of the Damned at the movies tonight because I've got nothing going on. But I don't really know if I should see it, I heard it really sucked and was boring and campy. However I loved the Interview with the Vampire film back in 1994, and I want to see Aaliyah again. But I don't want to waste my money too!

Anyway, just curious...what was you guys opinion of it? Worth seeing or wait for video?

Well since no one seems willing to chime in I will, even if it might be too late to help you.

Do not see this movie in the theaters!

It is definately a rental and better yet a free rental when you rent 2 others.

It is crap and it is not even close to being on the same level as Interview and in my opinion Interview was poor.

Not much of the books make it into this flick.

Well, I saw the movie before I heard your opinion, and I quite enjoyed it. I mean, it was nothing spectacular and nowhere near as sorrowful as Interview with the Vampire, but as a scary, slick and fun film Queen of the Damned worked. Aaliyah was a young acting revelation, and it makes me sad that she passed away after I saw her performance.

So far vampires aren't doing it for me this year. Queen of the Damned would have been better if it focused all on Lestat and not a bit on the stupid Queen of the Damned stuff. I was interested in the first part but then it got stupid and cheesy. The special effects were overdone.
