Sorry, but just because I can't stand The Who doesn't mean I have some sort of psychological defect. Why should I want to listen to Quadrophenia, I suffered Tommy for years. They are all about 62 years old now anyway.

Hmm....Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they suck. Now i must say Pete Townshend is a mediocre lead guitarist, however the other 3 members we're seriously talented.

They're not one of my faves, I'm just saying it how it is.

"Who's Next" and "Live at Leeds" are the two albums to buy.

You can hate The Who as much as you feel necessary to, but your reasons for your hate do not prove their music to “suck” in any way, shape or form. And the whole, “it’s just my opinion” spiel (which you haven’t yet given, but probably will give later in this discussion) ‘doesn’t’ *slash* ‘will not’ mean shit.

All that said... What they’ve done for music totally outweighs any “hate” or “disgust” you might have for them as musicians.

Well you tell me someone that you dont like ( I think hate is too strong a word here) and I will come on and tell you how friggin wonderful they are.

I dont 'hate' them as people, in fact Roger Daltry regularly goes fishing near where I live, very approachable. He's quite a fair actor as well. I just find there music a big turn off. Except for 'Substitute' which was released in 1966 I think.

Given the title of this very thread, I find that last post amusing. :D

Besides though, i honestly believe there is a certain breed, or class, of musicians that have had a profound affect on a lot of people, and you just can’t deny their greatness because of it. you just can't. I’m sure there are a lot of bands that I don’t listen to that I probably wouldn’t like... but it doesn’t mean they suck, and it doesn’t mean they’re not great.

There are only a handful of musicians what we can live without, and The Who aint one of em’. That's all i'm saying.

Yay, go for it. Thats taken the heat off me some. Thanks. I'm not going to post anymore about songs that everyone already hates, like Ann Murray. Well, maybe some of them, because I don't think I could write this and leave out goddamned Lil Jon with a clean conscience. I also won't write anything about U2 because I hate every song they've ever done so much it's not possible for me to pick the worst one, nor will I mention Phish because, although I think they are the worst band in history, you can't really consider any of the noise they make to be music since it's four stoned hippies butchering four different songs at the same time.

Ok I am going to lose the word hate. The continuous repetition of "Whooooooo are you " probably did me some serious psychological damage whch is the main reason I enjoy banging my head against brick walls and writing crap on the internet. So then its true, I don't dislike them because of one song, I dislike all their songs (except possibly 'substitute'

For A Band that sucks really must have been sucking throughout the years and wasting their times with the slew of albums they put out and concert appearances they have made all over the world. I myself is not big on "The Who" but there are at least 2 songs they put out I personally liked. :D
