For those who don't remember or weren't here for my original topic way back when, I posted the first two instalments of the trilogy of scripts I planned based on the first three Resident Evil games, and the first, third and fifth books in the novel series by S.D. Perry, as a sort of alternative to the RE movies that have infected movie screens everywhere these past few years. Now, since I've posted the first two before, this topic doesn't really pertain to them, as I got all the criticism I needed the last time around, but if one wanted to take a refresher before hitting the third and final script and has any more thoughts on the subject, here are the links to the newest revisions:

Biohazard (http://www.geocities.com/albertwesker4prez/Biohazard1.doc)

Biohazard 2 (http://www.geocities.com/albertwesker4prez/Biohazard2.doc)

With that out of the way, let me just state that the third and final script which I'm presenting to you is a first draft, and like all first drafts of my scripts, I'm absolutely certain that it's shoddy, bad characterization, unwanted cheese, etc. etc. that I'm blind to since it's been completed so recently, so I'm posting it here in hopes that you fine Schmoes who are interested will come through with some good criticism so I can make the necessary revisions and rest easy at night knowing that my work doesn't suck royally.

Ahem.

Anywho, a little about the third script in comparison to the others: whereas the first two are largely monster movies rather than zombie movies, Biohazard 3 is very much what I'd call a zombie film, they're far more prevalent than in its predecessors, and only really one mutant to share the spotlight, that of course being the big bad booty daddy of the RE world, Mr. Nemesis, who is a prominent fixture in the second half of the script. Also, I tie up a few loose ends that are introduced in the others (the giant gator comes to mind), and things of that nature, I just wrap most things up, except for the open-ended conclusion to Bio 2, which is open to interpretation (if you're not familiar with anything from C:V or RE4, that is), though you can pretty much guess how things will play out.

But anyway, with all that crap having been said, I give to you Biohazard 3, and I'm just fucking GLAD this trilogy is done so I can concentrate on things that might actually get made:

Nemesis says: Enjoy, all ye who enter. Ohhhhhhh.

Do we need to read the first two before we read the 3rd one? Basically does it stand on its own?

Only you won't like them nearly as much. They really do stand on their own but you'll need the previous knowledge to really get into each. For instance, 3's main character is a main character in 1 so if you want to get her . . . character, you'll need to know what went on in 1. I'd reccomend you to read them in order.

I downloaded the 1st script. I think you overuse adjectives a bit in your descriptions (It's a script, not a novel. Or maybe I just say this because I'm jealous of your stamina for writing a really detailed script.), and the first line by the coroner is awkward when he talks about the length of the victim's hair. (why would this matter? will the murderer turn out to be a zombie barber?)

I always wished GAR got his script produced. I read that and it was awesome. A horse got shot in the face within ten pages. It was actually sort of like the games, and actually gory, unlike the movies, which are essentially feature length Sprite commercials with lots of guns, blaring tension-killing music, personality-less characters, and excuses for Milla Jovovich to flash her freaky-looking nipples.

Yeah, the descriptions will be trimmed down if I decide to go back and rewrite it. I've always had a problem with that, because when I first started out screenwriting, I was inspired by works from James Cameron and the Wachowskis, and if you read their stuff, it's very verbose compared to the average screenplay. But anyway, it's something I'm still trying to shake.

As for the coroner, I did some research prior to writing that scene, because I knew jack shit about the process, and it's part of procedure during examination to cite those kinds of details, so blame reality for that :p

Haha, indeed.

Not that I'm sweating it or anything, but I'm curious to know if anyone has read the script yet. Or even one of the first two, though they've had their time in the sun a while ago, no need for them to be hogging the spotlight anymore :p

Surely there's someone among the 200 or so that have peeked at the thread who want to say "You suck! Drown yourself in ink for what you've done to the written word!"...

...Not that you'd be allowed to as per the rules, but it's aaaall about treading the fine line :D
