Looks like one of the best movies of the year.

December 9th, mark your calendars, now if Eastwood can only get that Flags trailer out.

I didn't even notice that, I'm looking foward to Letters just a little bit more than Flags at the moment, but that may change.

these are two movies that show two different sides of the battle?
What an interesting idea! I'm not really caring too much for Letters, (just because I'm American) but I'm sure I'll check it out if it flows well with Flags and seems necessary to understand the full scope of the battle.
Flags looks great though, and my anticipation has increased greatly!

Yeah I actually thought they were two separate films before but now that I found out they're showing the same event but from two different POVs, I'm actually much more interested in these two films. Though for me, I'm more interested in seeing Letters - mainly cause we've seen a fair share of war movies from the American POV so it'll be interesting to see something from the other side...

And I gotta say too - the original title for Letters was miles better...Red Sun, Black Sand is just a sick title...

Okay, I'm confused. Is this trailer for two different movies altogether?

Or is it one movie that shows two different perspectives?

If it's the former then they should have two different trailers because it makes it look like it's just one movie.

This movie/movies is shaping up to be awesome. Eastwood looks like he is having no trouble with large-scale battle sequences.

I can't wait for this movie.

It's a trailer for for two films showing two different perspectives on the same battle.



And folks, I think that Letter's From Iwo Jima is the Japanese name for Red Sun, Black Sand. It's still RS, BS for us.
