Has anyone read some of Laurell K. Hamilton's "Anita Blake" series? It is based on a woman detective who is a necromancer and has an alliance with vampires, were-wolves and were-leopards. I started reading the series many years ago and I have to say that Laurell K. Hamilton can write gore with the best of them. I think this would make an outstanding movie. If you have read the series, who do you think would be a good choice for the role of Anita Blake?

Read them all.

Christina Ricci since she plays so many dark characters.

If not her, then Kate Beckinsail or however you spell it.

Kate Beckinsale should star in every movie as the female lead. She should also be naked and call out my name as often as possible.

But on topic. I read the first Anita Blake book on martyd's reccomendation and although I thought it was decent, it wasn't good enough to hook me into the series. Reading from a woman's point of view threatens my sexuality.
