Anyone else see this? I saw it tonight and loved it. By the trailers and tv spots it looked just like your normal teen/early 20's type flick, but it was surprisingly good. It was funny, but not stupid funny. It was a smart movie and it actually had a lot of heart. I highly reccomend it. I know all the hype and talk this weekend is about 'Snakes', but go see this movie too. It's worth it.

I just read that it was directed by Steve Pink, who co-wrote two of the best comedies in the last couple of years, Grosse Point Blank and High Fidelity.

It doesn't look that good, otherwise.

I'm kind of interested, but not really.
I'm watching the Illusionist and Snakes on a Plane this weekend, so maybe during the week, but I don't know.
It doesn't look great, but I can imagine it being funny.
It also kind of rings with me (not that I've sent real college applications...yet), so that makes me want to see it.

I don't know. Maybe. Beerfest looks pretty funny too.

The theater I was in last night was pretty full.

Seeing as how SNAKES will be #1 this weekend though, and other solid hits like Talladega and WTC holding over, I look for this to open between #5 and #7 this week.

Accepted did not do as well as expected. moviecitynews lists the box office predictions from six different places, and only boxofficemojo had it making $10 million for the weekend. Everyone else had it making between $12 and $19 million. It'll be lucky to make over $10 million by the time final numbers are released.

it was decent nothing special. Go in with low expectations. Love Justin long though.

I was expecting the worst when I went to go see it, which is why it completely surprised me at how much I laughed through it. Sure the story was farfetched (retarded, if you will) but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

8/10 - The fat kid was hands down the funniest character in the movie... but I also can't forget Lewis Black, "Fuckin' eh!".

I just read a report that on Friday, Accepted made 3.1 million, setting it to place 3rd overall this weekend, with Snakes in first and Talladega taking the second spot.

Awesome.

I might check this out this week after I see Miami Vice. I have to see Miami Vice first though.

I actually love the premise of the movie. A kid gets rejected from all the collages he submitted into so he makes his own collage up. I think that's a great idea for a comedy!

I'm very much looking forward to this. And I'm a big fan of Justin Long as well.

ASK ME ABOUT MY WIENER!

I just got back from a weekend camping trip so I haven't been to the movies for the new releases yet.......

First this movie then snakes.... fuck Illusionist, looks dumb as hell.....prestige looks way more intriguing to me.

I thought it was very funny. Justin Long really shines in this movie. It's his best role yet. And the movie is very enjoyable. The ending is predictable and full of shit but I liked still nonetheless. Nice movie.

I enjoyed it, I thought they could of done a little more, but it was enjoyable and had a really good message imo.

Accepted is definitely a comedy worth seeing. This is definitely Justin Long's best role and the supporting cast was excellent as well. I think this movie will finally find it's audience once it hits DVD because it is a very enjoyable movie.

Didn't know what to expect going in. So-so reviews, friends loved it and I thought it looked ok. Well it was a little better than ok, but nothing special. Could've been a lot funnier if it had been R rated. Some F-bombs from the fat dude would've been hilarious. And was it just the theatre I was in or did an attempt at an F-bomb get beeped out? Since when do they beep out F-bombs in movies? It was the only one too. It still could've got a PG-13.

Justin Long was pretty good but he needs to take some more serious roles because besides being a gay guy in The Break-Up, he really isn't all that funny.

The movie was quite entertaining but there just weren't enough jokes and when there were they just weren't all that funny. A chuckle here and there, but nothing else.

I loved it!!! I thought it was a really well made movie with great performances that was actually very funny. Great job to Justin Long, he really did a great job. Good to see Blake Lively from Traveling Pants in something else. Very good way to spend two hours this fall.

8.5/10 or *** out of *****

it wasn't that bad, some funny bits mostly provided by Jonah Hill and that weird tall lanky dude who wanted to have telekenisis....

The fat guy was easily the funniest character ("hope you guys got hobo stab insurance"), but I didn't think Lewis Black did that well. I'm a HUGE fan of his. The movie overall was funny. Not GOOD so to speak, but very entertaining, and I think worth at least a rent.

yeah, it's definitely one you can wait and rent - but it was decent: about as funny as I expected

5/10

Camp Nowhere.....to a T. The main charactor was good, but why all the random scenes of him being clumsy? it wasnt developed and brought nothing to the movie. Also, they try to make a point in this movie, but it's ridiculous. Lewis Black sucked, and the Glen charactor was a cookie cutter "im gonna say something retarded" dude who missed on 4 out of every 5 of his lines

I saw it today and I thought it was great. You don't need to see this one in the theater though...More of a DVD flick.
