Hollywoodland
From IMDB:
Adrien Brody, Diane Lane and Ben Affleck star in a compelling exploration of fame and identity, inspired by one of Hollywood's most infamous real-life mysteries. The story follows a 1950s private detective who, investigating the mysterious death of "Superman" star George Reeves, uncovers unexpected connections to his own life as the case turns more personal. The torrid affair Reeves had with the wife of a studio executive might hold the key to the truth.

The Black Dahlia
From IMDB:
The Black Dahlia is set in 1940s Los Angeles. Two cops, Bucky Bleichert (Josh Hartnett) and his partner, Lee Blanchard, investigate the death of Elizabeth Short, a young woman found brutally murdered. Bucky soon realizes that his girlfriend had ties to the deceased, and soon after that, he begins uncovering corruption and conspiracy within the police department.

Inspired by the most notorious unsolved murder in California history.

I am looking forward very much to "the black dahlia!" I think Josh Hartnett is underrated. And Hillary Swank as a femme fatale should be something to see!
Hollywoodland just looks bad to me. Ben Affleck has his moments, but I don't this will be one of them!

Hollywoodland looks good. Not bad, not great, but good.

Black Dahlia looks like itll be in my top 5 for the year. The trailer has me hooked.
