I'm sorry, but this could be the baseball equivalent of the XFL. I remember the XFL's campaign saying "the way football was meant to be played", and now they are saying the same thing with 'baseball' replacing 'football'.

I expect it to last a maximum of 2 seasons.

This will fail most likely because of a serious injury and the lawsuit that will follow. 19th century players suffered tons of injuries due to the inferior equipment they used and if they want to play a true 19th century style than a ton of injuruies will occur in this leauge as well.

I'm wondering why anyone would start this. I don't think comparisons to the XFL are warranted, but I don't see this succeeding either. But who knows, right?
