Timberlake is probably the only person who survived the pop tart trend at the end of the 90s and early 00s. He seems like a pretty stand-up guy and luckily he makes friends with all the right people for his music. Timbaland is one of the best hip hop/r&b/pop producers out there right now, and his hand in the production is what's making me anticipate the album along with Rubin. SexyBack is a good song even though it's odd for a single, and My Love is a great single. Not ashamed of thinking it.

Someone needs to shoot Timbaland between the eyes, right fucking now.

I agree. I like his new single and if the album is on par with it, it'll be a hit like his previous. I don't care that he was in a boy band, he's made himself a successful solo artist and there's nothing wrong with that.

I gotta agree with Robot and someguy - while I'm not a fan of his music (just not my schtick for the most part), I think he's fairly smart and of all the boyband members of the 90s/early 00s, he was the only one who managed to completely change his sound and get away from the boyband stigma. Not an easy thing to do, I'd say. Gotta respect that at least.

I like most of his post-boy band stuff.

Why? The guy's a talented producer who's making some great stuff. Even if he works with The Pussycat Dolls or Nelly Furtado, I don't give a shit. What I really want to hear is the new MIA album he's being involved with. Is it because you don't like Promiscuous Girl or whatever?

Here I'll have to agree. Eno and Lanois have produced fucking U2 and Dashboard Confessional records, but I still have an enormous amount of respect for them.

Come on, even when Heart Collector likes a JT song you know it's good because THC's opinion is 100% right all the time.

Trousersnake is the best dirty POP artiste working today alongside the v. good Annie and Xtina, Clarkson, enjoyable Beddingfield(s), rubbish Hot Chip etc, etc.

It's because he's infested the radiowaves with all these bullshit songs that all sound exactly the same. The Justin single, the Nelly songs and all that crap. It's fucking lazy shit production. I could've written those damn tetris blips he's got in everything when I was ten years old. Even the new Robbie Williams thing sounds exactly like all of this Timbaland shite.

Fuck the "even", Robbie is the hugest zero-talent largehead around...his 'beats' remind you of JT because he's just another sad bastard desperately clinging on to somebody elses flushed career.

He can't rap and his supposed heroes are dead rock stars.

He's a non-entity!

Well, yeah...I wasn't saying he's above it or anything. It's just so far from what he's done before and it indeed just seems like he's desperately trying to follow the trends...which suck.

What are you talking about, seriously. Oh shit he uses synths, THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME.

Wait a minute. Timbaland is producing the next M.I.A. record? Oh shit that is gonna rule. Arular is one of my favorite albums from last year. Cannot wait to fucking hear that.

Well I was drunk when I wrote that so my reasons for calling a hit on him do seem a little odd. I've just lately focused my anger about shit on the radio on this dude because of horrible songs like Maneater and Sexyback and what not all seeming to have his name on 'em. Seriously, Maneater sounds like it was written in four minutes, there's nothing there. And I like Nelly Furtado generally. I did like some of the previous stuff he did with Justin and some other things, just recently "produced by Timbaland" has brought nasty thoughts to my head.

5 years ago, if you would of told me Justin Timberlake would be doing a song with Three 6 Mafia...I would of shot you in the face.

BUT the song actually came out quite well and JT doesnt seem too out of place.

I think he described the sound of this album as "club funk" and I definitely know what he is talking about. Some of these songs are pretty funky and catchy.

If I were him I would release "My Love" next. That would do well on BET as well cause it has T.I. in it.

My Love is intended to be the next single.

That single should do pretty well because T.I. is a hot property rapper right now.

if anyone has been in a club when they play sexyback....you will never hate JT again....i think that song helps people get laid at clubs (who am i kidding, its the 3.50 drinks)

Damn Girl is a pretty great song until Will.i.am starts rapping because you realise that it's a Black Eyed Peas song.

On second thought, this cd kinda sucks. I dig "My Love" and "FutureSex/LoveSounds" but it kinda fizzles down throughout the cdnow.

There are also some pretty laughable bad lyrics delivered by JT on "Keep Losing My Way" and that last song.

Timberland's production is pretty hot though.

Timbaland might just be the most destructive human being on the planet. It seems like everything he touches turns to shit.

Not that I had much respect for Justin Timberlake in the first place, but "SexyBack" is unlistenable even by his standards.

If you mean by him dumping a white trash girl like Brit for an older woman like Cameron then I'm way ahead of you. ;)
