I was getting around to starting a thread but since it has been done I'm in of course as well. For those who have played before you know how it works for those who don't.

You first pick which team you think will win each game. Then you rate how confident you are about the game. You assign each game a ranking 1-16. 16 being the most confident and 1 being the least confident. So that when you are done, you have a game ranked at each spot (you cannot repeat rankings) meaning you have one 16 team, one 15 team..... And if you pick the game right, you get that many points. The person with the most points at the end of the week wins.

We will also keep the same rule as last year and we won't drop the lowest score at the end of the season.

Now since I am in the process of getting a computer with internet I will have time to keep scores unlike last year which wasn't the case in which I had to use the library as resource, which can be a pain in the ass when you work all day and the library is open only at 9 PM.

This week I think you shortchanged one person horrorfreak... Yourself. What's up with that? I think you should have 100 points instead of 99.

Also, TheDeadWalk's total of 109 includes him getting credit for picking New England twice. Once it was an 8 point game, the other a 2 point game.

I hate to be a stickler, but it's probably important to set in stone what we should do in future situations when someone makes the accidental mistake of picking the same game twice, to avoid conflict. The one or two points this time around doesn't really matter.

I see 2 options:

1) Only the higher point pick should count. Therefore, in this case, TheDeadWalk would get credit for the 8 points, but not the 2 points. That 2 point pick is simply voided. In this case, The DeadWalk would have 107 points this week.

2) Only the higher point pick should count, and all games beneath that move up one spot in confidence. For example:

I can see both sides of the argument, but my vote would be option 2. It's true that everyone should double check their picks, but mistakes will happen, and the guy making the mistake is still penalized, even if it is just 1 point.

However, when I'm not at work I'm usually fighting for time with the wrath of a teenage jr. highschool girl who wants to knock me off of the computer every five minutes to see if someone wrote on her Xanga site, or worse yet -- the blond spawn of Satan that created former.
