I'll probably see it, I'll be more excited if they do a good job casting Ogre and Booger, then I'll throw down a little hype.

I'll probably see it; though it's a totally unnecessary remake. They just better not make it PG-13; that would totally piss me off (like the sequels did).

Would this kind of movie work in this day and age? I mean, nerd slagging is so 80s.

yeah in today's trends it would be more like..... Revenge of the Faggy Emo Kids.

I don't like that poster at all.

These days nerds ARE the cool people. So I don't see this film working very well.

I did really enjoy the original though... so you never know.

Sigh. Another pointless re-make of a lackluster, uninteresting '80s fad. Judging by this so exaggeratedly early teaser poster, I don't doubt that this film will be highly publicized and extremely overhyped leading up to its release. I am also willing to bet cash that Eugene Levy will have a role in it.

So, I got pulled aside to answer questions about film and such for research when I went to see The Matador way back when it came out. A couple questions they asked pertained to this.

"Would you go see a remake of ROTN?"

I said yes. I'll see anything.

"Would it turn you off of viewing the movie if it was rated PG-13?"

My answer...."Yes, probably. Please don't."

I'm still afraid that they're going to make this PG-13 and completely ruin the spirit of the original. You know that they're just dying to get that teen audience, these days. If anything they should go for the same crowd that American Pie attracted. That would be the safest bet.

I'm afraid that I don't understand where you're coming from, care to explain?

I'd have to say that, that's an EXTREMELY safe bet. I really hope they cast some unknowns though. I can't imagine this flick EVER working with the kids from "Accepted" or the guys from Harold and Kumar (who seem to get every minority role these days).

Is it a complete remake, ie: mirroring the original or just starting a new generation of the films?

Any clues on the cast? I can only imagine.

Revenge of the Nerds remake? Yeah, don't forget Hollywood has officially ran out of ideas and remakes are the ca$h cows of the moment. What 80's teen movie wil bel remade, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Sixteen Candles, Heathers or The Breakfast Club?

Aren't they already going to do a Heathers sequel?
