What will your child be doing during freetime? Want your child to explore the world of Christianity and stay inside the box? Jesus Camp is more than just any camp because as the name implied, it's a camp built to glorify God! How can any camp beat that?!

During the evening, Jesus camp hosts a full evening of fun-filled, life-changing experiences for your child. What a blasphamy! It includes...
- Over 12,000 children army that your child can be friend with!
- The new facility and location that is under God's roof!
- Act crazy like no other acting school ever teach!

Here are some activities and things your child will learn.
- speaking in tongues and destroying objects or items embellished with pictues or words involving government.
- learn that homosexual people are evils.
- learn to be part of an Army of God and that children must fight to end abortion
- learn that America is responsible for the deaths of many innocent children.
- public confession of children's impure thoughts.
- learn that science is not a valid proof to anything.

Here's some testimonial
"I freaking love the Jesus Camp! It's freaking awesome!" -- Christian, age 10
"I learn lots and lots of new vocabularies that I probably will never use again" -- Samantha, age 11
"I got to make funny Jesus t-shirts and sell em. They told me the money is going toward the donation. I feel proud and feel like a new person afterward, a success regeneration!" -- Gabriel, age 12

We guarantee 95% brainwashing! just like engineering standard. Join us today, it is our desire that your child leaves the camp refreshed and changed... all for His glory!

Holy hell, this is a documentary, not a fictional depiction of a very shadowy dystopian future or alternate reality. God DAMN, that's some really, really scary shit right there...!

Basically, these kids are trained to be spokepeople of God's movement. How is this different from teaching children of Muslim's extremists? They have schools devoted to turning Islamic children into radicals/extremists. I think it's called The Mohadine? But it sounds much like the same idea.

It's a good documentary but very disturbing.

"Muslims are training terrorists who are willing to die for their faith. We should train our own."

Saw that trailer a little while ago, and I think it looks damn interesting.
I didn't get the feeling of a God army, I mean, the "This means war!" hinted at it I guess, but it looked kinda innocent in the first half.

....I'd see it.

I said it in the other thread, I'll say it here. Those people running the camp are just plain horrible, it's really bothering to see all the kids holding up their hands and being excited at giving up their lives to Jesus or the 'God's army' crap. These are huge extremists and judging on what I've heard from reviews and seen in the trailer it's very very easy to see the comparisons to Muslim extremist training. Luckily they're not gonna blow themselves up to kill people, but this stuff is going to pretty much warp their minds mentally for the rest of their lives. It's pretty much saddening, scary and angering all at the same time.

I really want to see this movie though, it will give a nice insight into how the very very radical extremist Christians are, and if there really is a movement (I hope there won't be).

They're called madrasahs.

This article (www.thirdworldtraveler.com/New_World_Order/Gods_Warrior_Twins.html) backs up that up.

..as a christian, i thought it was funny as shit. :p

Stuff like that is the reason i stopped going to my church. Nutters are everywhere, and church is no different. (for all religions.)

Live your life, do some good, and enjoy things while u have them.

"Muslims are training terrorists who are willing to die for their faith. We should train our own." While this is certainly repulsive, it is not a threat to civilization.

These people don't believe that everyone must submit to the will of God or be wiped of the planet. That is what we are up against in the Middle East. Convert or die.

That was one of the most fucked up things I have ever seen. I was waiting for that Christian nut lady from the "Trading Spouses" show to pop up in that trailer. That was pretty creepy.

You might remember the woman I'm talking about below!

http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/1912/tradingspousesam9.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

I've never spent a day of my life in a church and I'm very glad. They're
teaching these children that their saviour is coming back to help them
when they should be teaching them how to care for themselves. This
is such a debatable topic. The fact that these adults are teaching and explaining to children that they should give their lives for "Jesus" is the same bullshit that Middle-Eastern terrorists are blowing themselves up for. Wow....weird shit!

Same here, I'd be driving around the camp on an ATV with a boombox strapped to it playing "Running With The Devil" at full blast. :D

Alright, I'll agree with the best of you that the trailer is freakin creepy. However, I found it creepy only in the sense that I'm a 'normal' Christian and that population of the religion that does... that is fairly small.

Sadly, I have never been asked to join God's army. ::sigh:: I might see it just so I can bitch slap some extremist at the showing for yelling amen.

Yeah, these people are definitely a rather small minority amongs the christians. I mean in USA, probably around 80-90% of people count themselves as christians? The fanatics probably count only for 5%, or much less.

But the scary thing about these people is how ORGANIZED they are. That's systematic brainwashing, starting when kids are still very small and defenseless. And they try to put some dangerous ideas to the minds of those kids.

And the fact that they are so organized gives them a big voice in the society, and allows them to reach positions of great power.

So while it's easy to laugh these people off as nutcases, I find them quite disturbing, because I know they already have a lot of power, and their power seems to be increasing as time goes by.

After reading this thread, I tried to do a little exploring about good ol' Jesus camp, and to see if it changed my original thought which was "Wow, those prople are crazy. However, after chaecking out the movie's official page, all I have to say is that I'm even more conviced those people are crazy, and that one lady in the trailer is completely nuts. You can see what I'm talking about here (http://www.jesuscampthemovie.com/) . I bet they don't even realize how out of touch with reality they really are.

I think that what is possibly more disturbing to me than the fanatic aspect is that some of those 12 year olds in the trailer actually are better at speaking and have a better vocabulary than I do and I'm 22 years old. I mean, did you listen to that one kid with the rat tail? Jeez! ;)

Well put about the fanatics Tuuka. Good point about how how much of the population consider themselves Christians and how small of that declared population are crazy. Yes, crazy.

Ever see "Marjoe?" Kinda similar, only he knew he was full of shit. Pretty fascinating documentary from the 1970s. His parents were so hardcore they named him after "Mary" and "Joseph," hence "Marjoe."

Jeepers... I mean, I hate Lindsay Lohan as much as the next sane person, but I think having a little 12 year old girl saying Lohen's 'shallow?' As her parent, I would worry.

Hmm. I'll have to check that out. I gotta say I'm not really into the movies that make the poor kids out to be crazy fanatics, but I may have to indulge a morbid curiosity for it. Thanks for the tip.

Oh it's nothing like this. Marjoe Gortner became famous as a child for being the youngest Pentecostal preacher (I believe that's the right sect). You know, the whole jumping up and down, "And I said to Gawd-uh! And Praise the lord Je-SUS!" schtick. But he was just mimicking what he saw - he didn't believe it, but he became famous and it was a living. The documentary is about his "Final tour" of sorts. Him going around as a guest to all these churches and speaking and such. Pretty fascinating and worth a rental.
