Okay, my significant other is totally dying to see this movie. I promised to take him on opening night next week.

I think it'll be really funny - the trailers are some crazy stuff. You know they are going to go all out to make the stunts even bigger than the first one. Really..Johnny Knoxville kind of scares me a little bit...but watching him beat himself up in new ways is always a good time.

I'll be there opening day, just like I was for the first one. And since I got the new Jackass unrated s.e. dvd, I have a free movie pass!

I keep seeing the trailers on TV - I don't even know what is going on in some of them (the dentist chair thing??) but they look nuts. I am guessing that they are going to have even bigger crazier stunts in this one than they did in the first. (I've seen a couple of vague spoilers that just sound insane.) I think it'll be really fun

Yep. I took my brother to the first one back in 2002 opening day and we couldn't stop laughing. All the guys went AW DAMN. the girls hid their faces after that. We were dying laughing

I cannot wait to experience something like that again with this movie. I am going to this movie no matter what.

Probably true...but Dirty Sanchez has got them beat and then some as far as extremity goes.

Apparantly there's anaesthetic-free liposuction after which one of the Sanchez boys then drinks removed fat. There's finger chopping with cigar cutters...foreskins being attached to frosted poles, tongues are stapled, nostrils are superglued, a penis is tattooed...etc, etc, etc.

Trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=te2YyWK_2LY) Dirty Sanchez is a disgrace. It's a total knock off of Jackass that doesn't seem to understand what's good about Jackass. It's not about who gets hurt the most. It's about who does the funniest/wildest thing. Dirty Sanchez doesn't seem to be even trying to be funny, just 't0talz eXtrem3!!' and disturbing.

As far as Jackass 2 goes, I'll be there as soon as I can.

Alright, that is just plain nasty. While the Jackass guys have done some pretty nasty things (the paper cuts thing seem to come to mind from the first movie) I don't recall them doing anything like this. There is a thin line between being funny and just being nasty and disgusting. And it sounds like whatever this is, they cross the line BIG time.

As for Jackass Number Two, I can't wait. Love these guys. The first one was hilarious. I love the stunts they pull.

And I find it pretty cool that Bam is actually from West Chester Pennsylvania, which is VERY close to where I live.

I'm not really a huge fan of either show but let me try and respond to this.

I wouldn't say Sanchez is disturbing...it's a different kind of beast altogether. IT IS extreme...but you've got to remember that these are boys from the Welsh valleys, there is little else to do there besides self-mutilation ;). I think the stunts are much more crude, and the lads probably aren't as likeable as the Jackass bunch, chiefly because they aren't really doing it for the public...they are simply one-upping their friends and pushing taste and decency boundaries for kicks. Jackass boys are entertainers above all else! And there is an 'awww' factor to their work. They remain endearing even when they are being kicked in the bollocks or eating a puke omelette.

I seriously doubt Sanchez do not understand the secret of the Jackass 'formula'...I just don't think they give a shit. Their show isn't meant to be wild and funny, it's meant to be sick and twisted...and lots of people are amused by sick and twisted, so that's a bonus!

As for it being a Jackass knock-off...well Pritchard and Dainton have been doing this stuff for years, and there are bootleg dvd's all over the internet to prove it. One of the Pritchard Vs Dainton skateboard programmes was shown in Britain on channel 4 way before Jackass had even aired...and the pilot of Jackass featured stunts from this particular show according to some sources. Coincidence? Very probably. I don't think either show is a direct rip from one another...I just think there are bored mental dudes in both the UK and the US.

It just seems the American kids are classier than the Welsh chavs.

Well I already admitted that Jackass has done some pretty sick, nasty, disgusting stuff.

But NOTHING they have done is as nasty as chopping fingers with cigar cutters or attaching foreskins to frozen poles. Or tongues being stapled. Or having their penis tattoed.

Besides I find Jackass to be more funny during some of the wierder and less disgusting stunts they do. For instance, I don't think I ever laughed out loud so hard than when one of the Jackass people's mother go into their kitchen and find an alligator there. It's often stunts like that that make me really laugh that they do.

the thing about Jackass, and I am sure that will be true about Jackass 2, is that on some level, it's actually kind of clever. Sure there is a focus on crazy wild stunts and the guys doing things that no one else will do - but on some level, some of their stuff is pretty well and thoroughly planned out. So I have to give them credit for that, too.

Plus, like I said this just looks like it will be so much fun. Anybody want to bet which one of the cast will do the most insane stunt?

Its usually a toss up between Knoxville and Steve-O. Knoxville said in an interview he should have died about 3 times during this movie so I'll go with him. Who could forget the golf cart flip?

It just seems the American kids are classier than the Welsh chavs. No, that's . . . not what I meant.

First off, you're just proving my point by saying that the Dirty Sanchez people don't deserve to be in TV because they're not doing ti for an audience and they're not entertainers. They're doing it . . . god knows why but it's not to entertain. And something that's not made to enetertain or inform or teach should never ever be on TV. It's not good television.

When I said that they didn't get what Jackass was all about I didn't necessarily mean the actuall Dirty Sanchez guys but the imbecile who decided to air their stunts on TV. That is definitely not what majority of people want to see on TV. If people are going to act like idiots at least have them be entertaining or at least charming and likable. Same goes to the whole "they've been doing it for ages" scenario (which I actually was aware of). I'm talking about who decided to air it. No one would think of broadcasting their stunts if Jackass (a similar show) hadn't had the success it had. They just knocked off with material they had done before.

Eventhough I believe Knoxville had been doing all that crap for a while as well (I think the whole pepper spray/taser gun/taser cables stunt is much older than when it was first aired) . . . but the million dollar idea was to broadcast it, which Jackass did first.

I hope you get where I'm coming from here.

I didn't say that at all. I said Jackass boys ARE entertainers, whereas Sanchez lads are just bored Welsh retards who 'entertain' by default. You can't argue with the fact that they DO provide entertainment because they sell millions of DVD's and have great ratings.

But they did...like I said in my previous post. They were on Channel 4 before Jackass had even taken off in the UK. The stunt show has always been a popular format...it's just become more outrageous in recent years.

In a way I think it's underestimating the film to just write it off as juvenile stupidity - there is serious thought at work here in crafting this stuff. I was always curious, about the show and now the movies, how far they are willing to push themselves, what they will come up with next. It makes for great viewing, IMO.

So looking forward to Friday!

Thats too bad b/c Raab always does funny shit in the CKy videos, he was only in the first Jackass for the bungie wedgie so i guess this is no surprise. Someone eats shit in the movie too.

And for the record, Raab doesnt hate Bam. He just doesnt want to do any stupid shit any more. He's living in L.A., Ryan Dunn goes out to visit him all the time, and Raab is apparently sober and doing quite well for himself.

One more day! I hope it boosts the box-office up a bit and gets it out of the slump it's been in for weeks now. Even though I'm seeing it in the afternoon on Saturday I still expect a big crowd because when I saw the first one it was on a Sat afternoon and it was sold out. People love their Jackass.

It also has been getting some pretty good reviews over on RT, so I have high hopes.

Jackass Number Two definitely will not dissapoint fans ot the first movie and the TV shows. Most of the stunts and skits were hilarious. I was dissapointed to see that the scene involinvg Don Vito getting a tooth pulled via car was that was in the trailer did not make the final film. I am wondering itf this was deleted because of his recent legal troubles or it cut for other reasons.

What can I say, my face hurts from laughing so much. Loved every second of it and cant wait to see the deleted scenes on the DVD. The only dissapointment was the lack of a crowd. I went to a 720pm showing and it was maybe 1/4 full. Gotta say that Black Snake Moan movie looks horrible. Anyhow, I hope this isnt the dnd of Jackass but I doubt we'll ever see a number 3. Just as good as the original if not slightly better.

Saw this again just now here in my own hometown (saw it this morning at a matinee in another town).

It's just as funny the second time. Congratulations to this movie, its officially the first movie I have ever seen at the theater twice in one day.

My showing tonight was basically sold out, and when I left to go home, the street outside was jammed with people waiting to get in to the next show.

Considering my town is only 14,000 strong, and run by old people, thats saying something for this movie.

#1 this weekend. Big time.

09-22-2006, 09:03 PM
Oh yeah, and it should be noted that the crowd was more into this movie than any movie I've ever seen. They showed the trailer for "Black Snake Moan" before it and people were shouting "SAM JACKSON MOTHERFUCKER" and "MOTHERFUCKIN SNAKE MOAN". Then, once the movie started, and we first hear Knoxvilles laugh over the MTV Astronauts/logo, people were cracking up and cheering.

It's great how a crowd can make a movie even better than it already is.

The theater was awesome too, except for when the movie started the douchebag manager yelled and said if you even talk loud, youll get thrown out, cell phones will get you thrown out, standing will get you thrown out. laughing loud will get you thrown out.

Now the group i was in was pretty vocal about some of the bits you would have a big OHHHHHHH!!!! I enjoyed the opening there, it was awesome.

The Bam skits mad me laugh, especially with the snake and also the punching thing.

I found the first one funnier, even though this had its share of laugh out loud moments (John Waters making Wee Man disappear, classic). It gets a little dull, and the end "punk'd" stunt went on a little too long which nullified the intent and humor.

I've never even come that close to laughin that hard to any movie. You're the type of people who completely ruin comedies by never shutting up about them and overrating them to high heaven

but that aside, people gettin hit in the face = gold. The Fart Mask/puke was the worst part, he just kept puking, the shit log was huge

When you're sitting around with your friends talking, drinking, bullshitting... doing whatever, and someone says "HEY! You know what would be the funniest shit ever???" and you ask "No, what?"
Well this movie ansers that! And thats what makes it great (and Jackass in general) They do all the things you truely wish to witness in your life and expand it to a whole other level. And sure, people are going to say "Oh yeah, punches to the nuts and laughing at human feces... what a bunch of idiots, how is that funny" Well ok... it has the name Jackass for a reason, they're not hiding anything... they are jackasses and they do jackass stuff. Obviously the movie doesn't interest you... the reason I'm mentioning this is because as I left the movie I heard several "WTF... that wasn't even funny, all the stuff they were doing was stupid"... WHY DID YOU GO SEE IT?! IT'S CALLED JACKASS YOU FUCKER! Some people just always have to come and shit in your chocolate cake... I'm not going to grade on a film scale because you really can't hold this up with other films but on my score for loving this movie 10/10.

i give this movie a 9/10. i'm not sure if it should be an 8/10, because i definitely liked it more than the first movie (which i gave an 8/10). i think it deserves a 9/10. that being said, rip taylor's appearance at the end was kind of lame--the first movie's was better.

Maybe the people who sit there and say Jackass is stupid and not funny should take a look at these box office numbers and say to themselves, "hey, maybe I'm the one thats stupid with no sense of humor!" Jackass rules, it you dont like it then stay the fuck away.

That was the single worst argument I have ever heard, considering you're at a message board that declares the general moviegoing public to be a pile of shitfucking retards whenever the Wayans get anywhere close to the top ten.

Well I've never seen Little Man or White Chicks so I'll hold my judgement on the Wayan's bros. latest efforts. As far as Jackass goes, my comments refer to a critic saying people who enjoy this movie need therapy. People are free to feel how they want so I will never jugde the movie going public because i'm a part of them. If people enjoy movies like Little Man so much that it does well in the box office, good for them and good for the movie. I'm not going to turn around and tell them they need professional help. So if Jeffrey Lyon's wants to say stupid shit like that then he can just look at the numbers and realize hes the one with no sense of humor.

You know what? It's to the point now, where, as soon as the Jackass theme music starts, I laugh uncontrollably.

Jackass Number 2 was fucking awesome, I enjoyed every second of it, and for a movie that was about an hour and 45 minutes long, it didn't seem that long due to the amount of stuff, and the high pace of it all.

I couldn't possibly pick out one favorite part of Jackass number 2...it's impossible - the movie was wicked.

"Bam...are you crying?" *sniffles* h'yeah *sniffles*

Laughed the entire movie. I dont recall one scene that didnt have me rolling out of my seat.

It is hard to rate the movie though because the only thing to compare it to would be the first which I have not seen in a while SO I will just say it is worth the ticket price.

Laughed so much I had a headache afterwards.

I loved Jackass 2 but I must say I'm not a fan of the fart mask. For one, we all have come to know that Steve O can puke on command so that doesnt make it legit. Secondly Preston shits into a big ass funnel that runs down to a little tube in an open room. Theres no way all that air made its way down that little tube not to mention Steve O starts puking almost instantaneously. Smells (literally) like a crock of shit.

LOL, the fart mask was the only part where you considered vomiting? I would think Chris Pontius drinking fresh horse semen would have done that (I'm a sicko, and dig all that gross shit).

Jackass: Number Two - 7/10 or ***1/2/***** stars

Jackass: Number Two succeeds in what it intends to do: to deliver outrageous, ridiculous, and at times, twisted and disgusting stunts, laughs, and entertainment. Although not as gut-busting hilarious as its 2002 predecessor, I had a good time watching the charismatic, albeit absolutely insane Jackass crew have their sick fun. This should most definitely please fans of the television series and first film alike.

I was more laughing at the reaction of all the Jackass guys.

The skit that had me laughing the most was actually the one where Pontious came flying from the ground as the devil in the middle of NYC. Just the look on his face and the whole production of it was so damn funny.

Because that's Jackass. The whole point is to be so painful, ridiculous and sickening that it's funny. I thought the fart mask was funny meself.

Loved the movie by the way. Even moreso than the first flick! I've never come so close to vomiting in a movie theater than I did with the horse semen scene.

i have seen this flick twice already

i love it!

This is the movie yous hould watch if you are ever in a bad mood, and you wanna smile for an hour and a half!

Although most the skits were amazing, the one that had me dying both times i saw it was when Bam Margera plunged Steve-O's ass hole after Steve-O funneled the beer in his ass!

i couldnt stop laughing at that!

I thought the first movie was pretty dumb and I didn't really like it at all. I thought a lot of the jokes were too drawn out and just not funny, like the demolition derby rental car, and the little car up the butt. But the more random, fast paced jokes were funny, like the trampoline into the cieling fan. Classic.

Number 2 had all the good parts and none of the bad ones. Nothing was too stretched out or too compicated for its own good. Even the total gross out stuff, which I normally don't like, was funny in this. The fart mask was totally gross, but when the vomit kept splashing up inside that thing I just had to laugh.

And I thought the taxi cab climax was great.

But the one thing that got censored - the horse seman. That's were you draw the line?

Yeah, but he was sitting right on the funnel... I don't know if you've ever been in a public restroom when someone of that... size takes a dump. It's pretty rough.

Now imagine that stench forced through a tube - which would increase its velocity. Not only that, but scent is actually carried through the air in the form of molocules... so Steve O was litterally getting a mouthful of shit (albeit on a microscopic level, but still...)

I see what you're saying but Steve O just throws up to everything which makes it less believable.

Pretty damn funny movie...I laughed my ass off at it with some friends tonight. It's just as good as the first one. My favorite scene was probably the one where they're reading the sign and getting slammed into their heads. 8 out of 10

Does anyone know what happened to the stunt that was shown in the first trailer? The one where they tie a string to a tooth and also to some sort of race car?! I wonder why they didn't show it.

I remember seeing the first in theatres and loved it and when it came to DVD I still loved it, but it just wasn't quite as good as seeing it in the theatre. Even though its a documentary with frequent moving cameras, it is definitly a theatre movie.

The movie was pretty fucking funny up until the point where Pontius starts chugging horse cum. Which gave my wife and me(ya I just got married) the initative to walk right the fuck out. The movie did almost make me piss myself up until that point. I actually was pounding beer after beer in the back row almost spitting mouthfuls out on the dude in front of me. It takes alot to almost make me piss myself so if that part was cut out I'm sure it would have been a good movie.

Why was that part enough to kill it for you? Much else in the movie was on par with that in my opinion (i.e. feces-related stuff).

Okay I got ask, did they take the venom out of the snakes they used because a King Cobra is pretty deadly snake and that guy could have actually died if he was bitten.

And the anaconda pit?! I mean, Johnn Knoxville was bitten several times by the anaconda! His freaking arm was totally bloody for christ's sake!

And using a person as shark bait! Jesus Christ, these guys actually make Steve Irwin look sane by comparison!
