The Terminator
Gladiator
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Fight Club
Donnie Darko

Thank you! The entire film club here only talks about that and Pirates of the Carrebean. For the love of Christ! It felt like a tv movie a lot of the time and the average shot length was short as hell during the action scenes. A great example of ruined action. The camera was too fast for me to see anything half the time. (During the action)

Also, Equalibrium managed to make guns boring. With a weak script and dumb shit directing, added on to the worst preformences I've ever seen of any of the assembled cast you AT LEAST have to make the action cool.

Fight Club - though I'm not as enthusiasticly against it as dalomini is, but I wasn't that into it when I saw it. Though I'm kinda wanting to give it another chance.

Brokeback Mountain - I didn't buy the love story, particularly Gyllenhaal's character's side of it.

American Beauty - good movie, but I didn't think it was THAT great.

it's partially a disliking towards Tarantio....i think he is the most annoying person is showbiz and he reminds me of the teacher from South Park cause he says ok or alright like 10 times per sentence....he makes, in my opinion, 1 great movie (Pulp Fiction) and suddenly he's the be all and end all of movies..aside from that i just never really dug RD

Spider-Man 2 practically defines this. Especially considering how awful I thought it was and how it was one of the best reviewed films of its year. Just mind boggling.

But for that matter, just about every super hero movie except Batman Begins and X2: X-Men United (I don't consider V For Vendetta a super hero movie, I really liked it, too).

I hate how a type of music creates a whole new lifestyle. Why does music have to be about fashion and philosophy? Why can't it just be about the music. When i was in highschool you were labled as being "alternative" if you listened to Nirvana. Now everyone is "Emo" because they listen to Hawthorne Heights.

But anyways, the Crow sucked. The End.

I REALLY hate to say this but I'm afraid I'm going to have to add The Departed as a movie that I liked but didn't love.

Simply put I thought the movie did not equal the sum of it's parts. There are moments are breathtaking brilliance in the movie, some scenes really crackle with suspense and thrills. But the movie just doesn't add up to much for me and the last twenty minutes are overkill in the amounts of violent shocks the movie contains. It's a superbly acted and crafted movie but it's not really anything amazing to me. Oh, well.

The French Connection - super-boring. I can't believe A Clockwork Orange lost to this for Best Picture.

American Beauty - the most pretentious and pointlessly-themed piece of shit I've ever seen.

Crash - not quite as pretentious but not as well made. Overall, an even worse movie.

Fight Club - kill me but these OTT neo-noir movies annoy me.

The Godfather Part II - there was too much focus on Michael's boring half of the story. It's not that it shouldn't be there at all but I'd actually like more constant cuts between his and Vito's story. Keeps things more consistently interesting

The Exorcist - the movie may inadvertently have too much sick humor to it to be excellent.

Ditto on Gump. I have a theory about that picture and the people who love it: Like supposedly you can either be an "Elvis" person or "Beatles" person, but not both, I believe that if you love Forrest Gump, you probably don't care too much for Pulp Fiction - and vice versa. It seems that how it breaks down among most people I know.

Oh - another movie that didn't rock my socks: Garden State. Very unimpressive. I don't have any theories on this one though. Yet.

Wait there's more: Pretty much every animated Disney, non-Pixar flick since Beauty and the Beast - with the sole exception of Aladdin. And to Hell with that Lion King and its flaming turd of a soundtrack too.
