Hey - my mate was telling me about this film called "The Last Horror Film" and the idea sounds totally awesome.

It's like it's a B-movie horror film - real cheesy stuff then it cuts to a video diary of a man killing all these random people who have rented this video out of the store and talking to the camera as though he's recorded over the video with his own footage.

He stalks outside their house and watches them watch him kill all these real people and then he breaks into their house and kills them. There's a message as in the people who watch him kill these real people are as sick as the guy who did it.

For instance there is a scene where there is two people tied and gagged on a chair then he picks up a knife and the camera zooms into one of the guys. Off camera the guys is heard cutting up one of them with the other guy on camera going nuts. He says to the camera something like: "How much were you wanting to see what I was doing? Don't you wish the camera was on the guy I was cutting up?"

It ends as though he's outside the window and the video is packaged as if it was the cheap B-Movie called 'The Last Horror Movie'.

I mean it wouldn't work now with the DVDs taking over but I think this is an awesome idea. I can't find the goddam film anywhere though. I found something on IMDB but it doesn't look right.

Could any of you guys help me out?

Do you know what I'm talking about?

Have you seen it?

Where can I get it from?

Cheers!

Damn, for a second I thought you were talking about the 80's movie.... I haven't seen this, but I have the 80's one on VHS and it's cool.

That's The Last Horror Movie, not The Last Horror Film.

For the life of me, I cannot fathom why so many people enjoyed the former. I thought it was just plain awful. Terrible script, poor acting, and just plain boring. So boring, in fact, I couldn't get through the whole thing.

I agree. I'm still trying to figure out was supposed to be so shocking about. It was laughable.

It's rare that I do this - but I never really decided exactly what I think about this one. I liked it in a really twisted way. But it was so cheesy that it kind of didnt work for me... so... I sit on the fence and I dont really jump down either way... its alright I guess.
