Heck yeah! Chameleon is a good word! I coulda swore he was Russian in Air Force One!
I also loved his role on Friends! Anyone else see that?! He was so funny!
Gary Oldman is one of the best character actors to grace the screen. Love the guy. He earns his YAY.

Awesome actor - terribly underrated. He can play any kind of role, especially villains. My favorite performance of his is in The Professional - particularly the family's "massacre."

Has Gary Oldman changed his "reputation?" He used to be known as a go-to villain with roles in Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Professional, Air Force One and The Fifth Element . . . among others (awesome in True Romance). He showed a lot of range in these movies, playing different types of bad guys, but with recent good guy roles in major franchises Harry Potter and Batman, I think his legacy will be more as a versatile actor than just the go-to bad guy. The more he shows up, the more I believe he's one of the greatest actor that's ever lived.

A major YAY for someone who should have had several Oscars on his mantle by now...

I for one absolutely LOVE the fact that he's gone from someone most closely associated with villains to a very bankable and powerful good-guy actor. It further emphasizes his range and talents. He's also had a fair share of the bad guy roles, from the campier ones to more down-to-earth performances. An amazing actor all around, I love his career choices, and yeah he's probably one of the most underrated actors Oscar-wise after Steve Buscemi, Ralph Fiennes, John Turturro and many other actors usually unfairly clumped in the "character actor" department. Also recommended is Oldman's directorial effort, Nil By Mouth, featuring the awesome Ray Winstone.

Fantastic actor who is indeed Oscar worthy.

Yay. He hasn't really given any single outstanding performance (of course, I haven't seen Sid & Nancy yet), but his amazing versatility and just how fun he is to watch in most of his roles (particularly The Professional, Air Force One and True Romance) justifies ranking among the best actors in the business today.

I don't really get goofy over celebrities but this is one dude I would love to meet. He seems like such a nice guy, very soft spoken and very into his family. I thought he owned ass in The Dark Knight...
"I'm sorry....FOR EVERYTHING!....it's gonna be alright."
That's some powderful shit.
P.S. I've had a non-sexual crush on him all the way back to Leon. :p

A great actor who is also a real chameleon too. It's truly astonishing how he changes himself for a lot of his roles. From The Contender to The Fifth Element to Air Force One to Hannibal to The Dark Knight. This guy has such an amazing range.
Definitely one of my favorites!

Put Gary Oldman and Daniel Day-Lewis in the same film and the screens, projectors and our faces would melt from the sheer awesomeness.
Oldman has managed to escape the typecasting that, in the past, limited him to roles that were psychopathic killers and just all around bad guys and take on roles like Jim Gordon in the Batman series which require a subtle, nuanced approach. How Sean Penn has two Oscars and this guy doesn't even have a nomination is beyond me.

Oldman is the fucking boss. one of the few guys that can just completely re-create himself and gets so lost inside of his own role, and is enthralling and exciting.
Fave performances:
Sid & Nancy
The Professional
Bram Stoker's Dracula
The Fifth Element

One of the main reasons I'm so fucking excited for The Book of Eli. Post-apocalyptic western with Denzel Washington facing off vs. Gary Oldman, doing what he does best, by which I mean being a murderous asshole villian? :D
Yeah, I'm there opening day.

He's too old for this club, but not... you know... for the earth. And don't get me wrong, I'd love to tap that ass. I would TEAR that ass up. But his ass is getting old, and so is quoting Judd Apatow movies.
