I can't wait.

1) Little Children

2) The Departed

3) The Queen

I'm sorry, I just couldn't hold it in.
I've wanted to see those films forever (the last one, less than anything)...and they're finally here.

Who else is pumped for arguably the best movie day of the year so far?

Buahah I have an advanced screening ticket for The Queen this Saturday and The Departed this Sunday.

Woo woo!

I'm pumped. This will most definitely rock.

Yeah, and to top it all off The Last King of Scotland is released this Wednesday.

But, what's really important is that I scored early passes to see Babel on Wednesday.

So... hell of a week!

Honestly, The Queen doesn't really interest me that much. And I probably won't get to see it until dvd anyway.

Little Children is only opening in limited release though. Does anyone know if it's going to go wide?

But I am pumped for The Departed. And I'm actually looking forward to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Begining as well.

Wow...that's just pure luck. How in the world?
But I don't care...Little Children trumps both those. :D

Little Children is supposedly wide on the 20th of October. :)

Yep, Soctland and Babel look great.

It's so cool that you guys are scoring advanced passes.
I had a pass for Marie Antoinette (/BORAT) for tonight, but I have to attend a jazz concert for school and write a report on it. Nucking futs. :(
Oh well, guess it can wait. *cry*

October 20 eh. That's quite a day. There is already like a million movies coming out on that day. The Prestige, Flags of Our Fathers, Running with Scissors, Killshot. Now this too? Cool.

Fuck Little Children, fuck The Queen. Bring on Trailer Park Boys and Texas Chainsaw Massacre! The Last King of Scotland looks great too. No offense to anyone but The Queen, looks plain boring. It looks well made and well acted, but just plain boring.

I'm honestly not looking forward to 'The Queen' or 'The Last King of Scotland', despite the buzz over (respectively) Helen Mirren and Forest Whitaker's performances. I'll see them eventually, but I can't say that they look that interesting to me.

LITTLE CHILDREN, on the other hand..............now that I can't wait for. It's currently my most anticipated movie of the year, Kate Winslet had better get the Oscar that eluded her for so long.

The Departed looks great too.

Come October 6th the only movie I will see that day is The Departed.

But on the Saturday after I am going to smoke a blunt or 2 and see (probaly a few times) Trailer Park Boys: The Movie

Right now, yes, and I'm just literally having my fingers crossed for Little Children to make its way to my area next week. If not, then the best I have is The Departed (which is more than all right with me :D).

I have been extremely underwhelmed by 2006 for the most part, but it seems that October 6th really does look like the turning point.

Sweet. Well, I hope all you who want to see Little Children get it near your place. The Departed is good either way as well, and yes, the 6th does look like the turning point. October is a swell month. Period.
I'll be getting my tickets for Little Children for friday tomorrow.

I don't think Vancouver will be getting Little Children until October 20, but I will be seeing The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning on Friday with some friends. I'll most likely check out The Departed on Sunday, since The Queen and The Last King of Scotland won't arrive on October 6, sadly.

Damn, after so many disappointments, 2006 is finally shaping up to be a good fall for moviegoers. Most of the films I've been really anticipating will be released from October to December, but I'm just hoping the ones I'm looking forward to won't be another extreme disappointment, a la The Black Dahlia and All the King's Men.

Wow The Queen is getting some amazing reviews.
