From the soundtrack to the score, movies depend highly on the strength and tone of their music to deliver a real empathy with the scene, and characters. Some times it works...sometimes it doesn't. Here's a few of my favs:

The Shawshank Redemption score
Braveheart score
Fight Club score(first all techno score!)
Pulp Fiction soundtrack
Reservoir Dogs soundtrack
Amelie's score

In Blade 2 when "name of the game" comes on before he kicks some ass...I get fuckin chills everytime.

At the end of fight club "where is my mind" by the pixies, no other song could have fit better.

"Shelter From the storm" At the end of jerry maguire.

"vanilla sky" at the end of vanilla sky.

and call me a heathen but in "behind enemy lines" when owen takes off his mask in neato slow motion while that opera type music is playing. That was fucking cool.

Welllll...how about you?

When Brad Pitt walks in to the fight at the end of Snatch and "Fucking in the Bushes" by Oasis kicks in, I get shivers.

Every drop of sound in A CLOCKWORK ORANGE. The score is GREAT.

Oh, and the Harry Lime Theme from The Third Man.

-My Way at the end of Goodfellas

-Wake Up at the end of The Matrix

-In Empire of the Sun. When Christain Bales on the roof and a P-51 flies by. John Williams score is incredible at this point.

I think "Thunderbird" from the Hanz Zimmer score of Thelma and Louise always gets me, as well as in the end of True Romance (another Zimmer score) "You're So Cool"

All of Rushmore's songs were great.
Mad World at the end of DD was just depressing.

"Head over Heels" by Tears for Fears in Donnie Darko. The scene introduces us to almost everyone in the film and we get the jist even though we can't hear one word of dialogue. And of course the last line of the song, "Time flies byyyy", perfect for the moment and the film's meaning. This director is one smart cookie for 27 years of age.
