BLADE or BLADE 2...Which do you prefer?

I loved both of these films but I'd have to go with the second one. I thought that it improved in every way of the first film. What do you guys think?

I bought the Blade 2 DVD and I love it I just watched it tonight it was my 2nd time seeing and I though it was still great it's a flat out kick ass movie. So overall I would have to say Blade 2 is a little better.

Blade II is a great sequel, it definitely is arguable wether it actually surprasses the original film or not. But imo the original is still the best, I really like them both though.

Blade 2 - Alot of thought went into this film IMO, truly amazing. I like this better than the first one. Lets see what Blade 3 has in store for us.

Blade 2 is far and away better than the original, which sucked a little, especially the end. The action sequences and weaponry in 2 were way cool, plus it had a damn hottie.

I entirely agree with EBastard, Blade II surpasses the original in every way.

As an over all movie I'd have to go with blade. But for action and style it'd be blade 2. My only problem with blade 2 was the developement of the second story behind all those vampire characters. Fuck that father son bullshit. It's a pain in the ass to watch some of those dialogue sequences. But when the action's on, IT'S ON. I mean holy shit, that huge fight in that blood vat room...I mean HOLY SHIT!

But blade's opener is far far better. It's quite possibly the coolest character introduction in a movie. That and the action ownz. However in blade 2, he just comes around a corner already chasing a couple guys. No where as cool. And tho the reaper main opening was cool it still didn't beat the original.

All and all I like em both the same. They both kick ass.

Myself I would go with Blade II.It was a reallly fun,kick arce action flick.While [b]Blade[/i] is presentable I didn't find it as much of a joy to watch then B2.

Maybe I have to see it again, but I hated Blade II. The Original in my opinon was one of the best, if not, the best comic book film ever.

I thought the original BLADE was terrible and dull. It took itself too seriously, in my opinion, and that was its downfall.

On the other hand, BLADE 2 was more fun, more silly and simply more exciting. Yes, I believe Guillermo del Toro sought to make it in the style of a comic book (he mentions it repeatedly on the DVD commentary track), and it makes no claims to be a serious flick. It's a popcorn picture, and an entertaining one at that.

I bought the Blade II DVD before I had seen it and it was worth every penny. Even though the first kicked major ass, this is the ultimate, pumped-up sequel the first movie deserved.
BLADE: 8/10
BLADE II: 9/10 (it is the best pure action movie I have seen in a LONG time, so it deserves a high grade)

Blade II...I prefer it more than the first. It's got more blood, the violence is more intense and it's got a better plot. The first Blade is good, but definitely not as good as it's sequel.
