They're the exact same discs as in the previous individual sets. It's like they took the original DVDs, opened them up and put them in slim cases in a new box. Much better than having six standard-sized DVDs on your shelf, though.

This is good to know 'cause I looked all over the box looking for which aspect ratio they were in and saw no mention of it any where ! Usually that means the film in question is FS.

P.S.
I got the 25th Anniv. Edition DVD of the 1st Exorcist, so I'll skip buying the box set!

Is the 25th Anniv. Edition included in the set?

No, just what they call "the original theatrical version" if memory serves correctly.

The box set contains:
The Exorcist (theatrical cut)
The Exorcist: The Version You've Never Seen (extended version)
The Exorcist II: The Heretic
The Exorcist III
Exorcist: The Beginning
Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist
This box set includes all the cuts, except the rumored extended cuts of the second and third films.

The 25th Anniversary DVD apparently is the theatrical cut. The extended version is called "The Version You've Never Seen".

What about the bonus materials that the 25th Anniv. DVD has, is that included on the disc in this box set, the disc that has "The Exorcist (theatrical cut)" on it?

I wish they just had an Exorcist box sex with the first one and the third one, the second one is kind of a waste of space.

I'm not sure. I don't see another DVD of the theatrical cut that's still in print listed on Amazon, but you never know, WB might just decide to drop the bonus materials. You might just wanna scour around for some reviews or walk into a store and check it out.

I have the 25th anniversary edition of The Exorcist and I just picked up the new Anthology. The theatrical edition is identicle to the 25th anniversary edition. The documentary The Fear of God is still in (one of the best doc's on any picture i've seen) as well as the misc. interviews, still galleries, commentary, trailers and t.v. spots.

Basically, the Anthology has the widescreen format of every edition of the films put out.

That's good, but all I ever wanted was what I got recently (the 25th Anniv. Edition/original theatrical version). Therefore I won't be getting this box set.

The 25th Anniversary DVD is included in the box set, just as it is available separately - a double-sided disc.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the version of the Exorcist on the 25th Anniv. DVD slightly altered from the actual original theatrical version? Wasn't a morph effect applied to the shot of Damien/the demon's face just before Damien throws himself out the window?
