I haven't seen The Battle of Algiers yet, but have been wanting to for quite some time. However, I knew how important the film was, and how many people love it, so let's honor that.

Haven't seen Algiers yet either but this is indeed sad news for the film-world.

Good for him that at least one of his movie's made it to DVD unscathed and hopefully his death will spark more interest in his non-Algiers movies.

Damn, Bank and Tayzlor, You guys missed an excellent film. The Battle of Algiers is an excellent film, and Pontecorvo will be missed. RIP. Gotta see Burn.

Ennio Morricone did the music for Battle of Algiers. Which will be an important film documenting an Arab country's right to self-govern (kind of appropriate considering what's going on now).
