Seriously, if you're a horror buff or just enjoy comedy-horror... see FEAST. It was awesome.
I'm so pissed that it didn't get its due. For a budget of 3 million, they did a phenominal job with it. Easily theatrical-release worthy, and not that two-night only midnight showing bullshit the distributors pulled with it.
The only negative side to the film is that sometimes the editing too fast and the camera too shaky, making it hard to really tell what's going on (but no more so than the fight scenes in BATMAN BEGINS).
So please, I'm begging you... rent FEAST. Then, when you love it, go out and buy a copy. We need to support this baby all we can.
I wrote a brief review for it on my MyJoBlo.com profile, if anybody's interested.

I put it on Netflix because I've sworn off blind buying for good.
Hopefully I like it.

I rented and watched it yesterday. Quite enjoyable. By no means one of the greatest films around, but one of the best horror films to come out in the past three or four years. Perhaps that is a reflection more on the horror genre, but anyway.
The plot is very basic, functional, and very fast moving. This is good. It is reminiscent of From Dusk Til Dawn in structure, but only in the last half of that film.
Good amount of gore and quite violent, it is also fairly hard to predict who will die. There was only one character who I considered a "lock" as a survivor, and I was right, the rest were too all over the place.
The action scenes remind me of the style of The Hills Have Eyes and the Descent do them, only not nearly as well shot or cut together. Still entertaining though. One monster is killed similar to the killer in a classic slasher film (I can't remember the name, but it had two hillbilly twins as the killers).
I wouldn't consider the film worth purchasing at full price unless you're a major horror junkie. However, if I'd paid $10 for it, I wouldn't have regretted it. The films pace lends itself well to repeat viewings - though I think they could have trimmed the center of the film a little more, personally. BTW, the alternate ending is kind of crappy.
Overall, a 7/10.

I agree with you 110%! I was surprised how good it was. I thought it had a great mixture of comedy/horror. Definitely worth blind buying. I also recommend this movie to anyone who is a fan of the genre.

Saw this one on Tuesday. Meh, it was alright. Felt like a collision between TREMORS and THE DESCENT, only it was nowhere near as awesome as either one. Goofy fun, but it's kind of a bummer when you realize that all it's gonna be is people trying not to get eaten.

Blind bought this and didn't regret it at all. Nice little flick and I love the character descriptions during the movie. Best line of the night:
"I wouldn't fuck you for practice."
Fuckin' classic. :D

His death had me rolling on the floor for almost 10 minutes. I kept watching it over and over until my abs were sore from laughing so hard/much. :p
The guy covered in slime (alien throwup) tops that though. That speech about him dying and nobody cares about him was priceless! :D

This movie was alright, but the best scary movie/comedy horror is Slither. Nathan Fillion is fu***** hilarious in this movie. It reminded me so much of Evil Dead 2 and Shaun of the Dead. Feast was alright, but Slither was head and shoulders above Feast. Rent that first.

I sadly missed it in theaters, but Netflix already sent me the movie so I'll have it tomorrow. Can't wait!

Well, I finally watched SLiTHER, and to be honest, I didn't like it all that much. Sort of boring, rarely funny, and not even remotely scary.
The pros:
+ Nathan Fillion was great in it.
+ Potentially cool set-up
+ It's gross!
+ Very nice references/homages to classic horror films (like THE FLY, NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, etc.)
+ I loved the death with the guy being sliced in half.
+ That big chick gon' s'plode!
The cons:
- Fucking zombies? Again??? Not only that, but they had WAY more screen time than those little worm things. WTF.
- I WANT WORM THINGIES!!!
- Seriously. Worm thingies. It took fucking 45 minutes until they even appeared, and then we only see them for like 10 minutes? Irritating as hell.
- Not funny. Tongue-in-cheek, sure... but not funny.
- I'm still pissed about the worm thingies.
- Had potential to be better. If it didn't take so long to get going, actually had been funny, and didn't make so much use of those lame fucking zombies, it might've been great.
- Worm. Thingies.
Overall, the movie mildly entertained me, I suppose, but it seems I was wanting something that wasn't there.
The trailer set me up for some extremely cool grossness and weirdness (mutant dude, huge chick, slithering worms, and zombie freaks - which, mind you, I didn't realize would be handled so terribly)... but the way it all played out just wasn't that exciting.
