I know that they are probably a sponsor and you cant take the banner down, but my god, that growl/scream sound bite everytime you mouse over the damn thing is just agonizing.

It's usually a banner at the top of the page. Believe me, if you scroll over it you'll know it.

Well download the Mozilla browser and get the adblock addon. It turns off all the banners and those annoying ass pop ups on the highlighted words (intellitext I think). That shit makes coming to this site more annoying than fun so I had to do it myself.
The screaming banner and the circuit city one that will pop out of the banner and cover the first 1/4th of the page just about drove me nuts.

I understand the fact that Joblo's gotta make a living, but practically every ad in this site is a loud, annoying cancerous tumor. It's been pissing me off for well over a year, and the fact that Joblo.com doesnt even really have JOblo anymore (hardly his fault, however) doesn't help.

Yeah, I totally agree. Why? cuz I had my volume at max blast at 3am and all of a sudden, I hear 'EACH YEAR..THERE COMES A TIME..ETC." which scares the living piss outta me. You probably need sponsoring but man, that banner is annoying as #@$%.

Another alternative is........
TURN THE VOLUME DOWN ON YOUR COMPUTER
when you are surfin on this site.........
Yes banners like the one ur talking about are annoying as hell like when it takes up 1/4 of the page when your mouse did not even come close to the ad.
Would you rather pay membership to JoBlo?
I think not. ;)
Eh, happens once in awhile. Not really a major concern.
