Ridley or Tony?

Ridley. Many wonderful movies. Tony has done mostly crap. Skillfully directed crap, but still crap. The only exception IMO being True Romance. I haven't seen Domino but it looks good.
But really, no contest.

Still Ridley. Tony is making a move on him since Man on Fire and Now Domino. The Other Film which he did that ranks up there True Romance.
Where as Ridley's got Kingdom of Heaven, Legend, Blade Runner, Alien, and The Duellists
Just my opinion. I will say they are starting to match up pretty darn close.

Ridley.
I find he has a bigger bulk of quality films in his resumé. I dunno, maybe it's because I'm not the biggest Tony fan, spare True Romance, I'm just a Ridley man.

Movies from Ridley I love: Kingdom of Heaven, Black Hawk Down, Gladiator, White Squall
Movies from Tony I love: Crimson Tide, Domino, Enemy of the State, The Last Boy Scout, Beverly Hills Cop II
It's actually REALLY close. Ridley wins by an inch.

There's no contest in my book. Ridley Scott is one of the most visually arresting and reliably able directors of all time; While he may not be as consistent as Scorsese or Spielberg, many of his films are timeless classics and arresting masterpieces.
Tony Scott is an over-indulgent hack.

Ridley and that's mostly due to Alien.

Ridley, no question. He is a fantastic director who has made some of my favorite films.

Ridley Scott by far (Alien, Gladiator, BHD, Hannibal) but Tony is good too.

Ridley; without a doubt is far superior.

I'm inclined to say Ridley. I have seen more of and enjoyed his films.

Ridley. Tony is okay but he seems a bit more by the book and he's at some times fairly extreme. His best film is of course True Romance but it was much more the great Tarantino script that propelled the picture.

Sir Ridley Scott. Is without a doubt, one of my altime favourite movie directors and movie makers. I love it when he says;
"I Love To Create Worlds"
And we [the fans] hope that you make many many more great films, Sir.
His movies speak for themselves. And I have just about all of them. I still wish that he would return the the original Alien and complete the franchise once and for all. He did say something along these lines in his brilliant audio commentary from the Alien Legacy box set. If he did indeed make an Alien 5 and 6, or just a part 5 to complete this amzing franchise, I would literally shit my pants with excitement.
ARE YA LISTENING MR SCOTT?! :D

Ridley.
Tony rules too, he just can't compare to R. Scott.

While I didn't love The Duellists, Hannibal, or Matchstick Men, Ridley did make Black Hawk Down and Alien. So I'll go with him.
Tony's got True Romance (which I'm not even that big a fan of) to his credit and Spy Game, which I actually enjoyed...but he doesn't have Alien.

Ridley is the better filmmaker, but I got more love for Tony's True Romance, The Last Boy Scout and Top Gun than anything Ridley has made.

I like both filmmakers as a lot of other schmoes seem to thus far, but I have to give a slight nod to Ridley as the better directing Scott sibling, as I think he's slightly more versatile as a filmmaker and an artist (I don't think Tony has the touch in him for a Thelma & Louise or a Matchstick Men); Tony seems to be limited by his decision of being more or less a genre (action) director-for-hire, mainly for Jerry Bruckheimer.
