Getting hit in the nuts is not funny. It never was funny. It never will be funny. Not in the movies anyway.

I can't tell you how many trailers I've seen where some guy takes a shot to the nuts and it's supposed to be funny. Now we even have a bizarre sub-genre of taking paintballs to the nuts. WTF?

Everything from Tenacious D to Flushed Away has the main hero taking it to the nuts and I'm not laughing.


Okay, the only time it's funny is when it's America's Funnies Home Videos and some guy takes a shot from a kid and/or animal, then it's funny cause it's real.

Oh, come on. Adam Sandler pausing time and kicking Sean Astin in the balls was HYSTERICAL!

To me atleast. I laughed out loud so hard during that scene.

I generally don't find farting to be that funny though once again, Click did have a rare fart scene that hilarious to me. When he pauses time and farts right infront of David Hasseholf's face. Another scene that had me laughing so hard it heart.

The only time (recently, not, you know, younger whend you'd laugh at everything) I thought it was funny and laughed at it was Monster's Inc. Actually it was more what happened right after that made it so funny. But now that I think about it, the monster's in Monster's Inc. don't seem to b anatomically correct, so I'm not sure it counts.

If not shots ever become not funny just shoot me. I'd like to think I have the maturity to look down on dick and fart jokes, but I really don't I ever will. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying there haven't been lame uses of them, but when done right someone getting dorked in the nuts is timeless.

I think my all time favorite nut shot is on South Park many years back when Cartman and I think Frenchie roshambo for an arrowhead and Cartman goes first. I think I did actually wet myself some the first time I saw that.

I dont think its that funny in live action movies. They tend to not shoot them correctly. Though, Southpark does great nut shots and Monsters inc was hilarious.

well, in movies and most notably trailers, there does seem to be a whole lot of nut-kickery going down. part of it being not funny is that, if its shown o the trailer, you expect it. when they show it on the trailer, you know its gonna happen, you've seen it happen. so, when you see it happen in the movie, its alot less funny.

other than that, sure, alot of times there are nut shots the are quite un-funny, but then again there are alot of examples of funny ones:

The whole SNL sketch with Crotch Bat

The Scene in Young Frankinstien when he knees that old guy in the nerve-blocking test

Also, anything where the person gets kicked/whacked/punched in the nuts and bolts is funny when the persons imideint reaction is to puke. Fucking Priceless

I agree with Lazy Boy on this one, Hans Moleman (and George C. Scott) getting hit in the groin by a football is one of the funniest things ever.

I used to find nut shots hilarious, but then I actually got hit in the nuts, and now I find it horribly unfunny (yes, by a football, coincidentally enough).

The least funny thing is how they have midgets kicking people in the nuts. I mean, midgets don't amuse me that much to begin with. Unless they can do a backflip or something like that, they're not funny.

I think one problem I have with nutshots is that I feel for the victim entirely too much. I feel their pain when they get hit. Its hard to laugh when you hurt too.

The fantasy dinner scene in DUMB & DUMBER where Lloyd Christmas uses the bad guys nuts as a punching bag and then bites them like a dog made me laugh harder than any other scene of its kind in the history of film. When used in the right film and to such a degree that it makes people laugh, it's genuinely funny. When it is used as a cheap gimmick for easy laughs in a shitty B-rate comedy, it's worthless.
