Halloween II on TV-Caution Spoilers!

I just watched H2 last night on AMC which I'm sure you all know edits for content. However, I found a slew of scenes in the TV version that aren't in the original H2. Some of the dialogue is longer and some completely different in some parts. I'm a little confused here, what gives?

Probably the same reason they filmed extra footage for part I when shooting part II: the TV version has to cut out a lot of violence and sex, so they needed filler. I guess they filled the extra scenes but only intended them to air on TV so it will run for 2 hours with commercials or whatever. I do remember seeing one of the extra scenes you're talking about, though. The one male character who faints in the car shows up at the end with Laurie, I think. Something like that? What else is there?

The AMC version of Halloween 2 is HORRIBLE. The music is different and the scenes are all out of order. The beginning is dumb. They roll the pumpkin credits and then go to the movie. They should have stuck with the recap of part 1, then credits, then start part 2. There is more that doesnt make sense.
