Has anyone seen this flick? I just ordered it off deepdiscountdvd.com. they don't have it in stock but they i'm sure they will soon. if anyone else is looking to buy it they have it in stock on amazon.com but it's a little more money there. i chose to wait.
Apparantly it's one of the best 'so bad it's good' flicks. I have very high hopes for it, partly because the same person who first recommended sleepaway camp to me years ago also recommended this flick. sleepaway camp quickly became one of my favorite movies ever, and i expect to really treasure this dvd too.
any thoughts on this movie?

Oh god! *rolls eyes* Not this turkey. Ha ha!
This is actually a video nasty and the the silliest one on the list. It's near the top of my personal "stupid, stupid, STUPID horror" list.
I won't give it away but I will say that when your cast is bigger than your crew you're in trouble and that is the case on this one. Watch the end credits while listening to the dumbass song that's playing and you'll see what I mean.

It sucked. And I'm a slasher film fan. It's funny in a bad way. It's an intentionally BAD film! Don't buy it, whatever you do!! You'll regret it.

I saw this movie when I was 10 years old. It scared the hell out of me and I couldnt sleep in a tent for 2 years. It was actually the first horror movie I ever saw.
I spent alot of time tracking it down again as I didnt know the name of it. Then finally I found a beat up VHS copy on Amazon Marketplace and ordered it. I was so excited when I put it in my VCR but it didnt take long for me to figure out how silly 10 year olds can be:) .
The acting is probably the worst ever seen in a non-porn movie and the effects are... well you gotta see them.
I guess if you watch it as a comedy then itīs quite entertaining.

Living in the UK makes this movie one of the more notorious slashers to come out of the 'video nasty' era. It was placed on the DPP (Director of Public Prosecutions) List of movies available on video that were regarded as obscene and were called to be banned outright in the country. I don't think it was successfully prosecuted but became banned nonetheless. Because of my weird obscure fascination with the video nasty era I simply must own this movie. I have read and own numerous books detailing the video nasties and this is always regarded as one of the more popular titles. It seems that this is for all the wrong reasons as I've heard nothing but dreadful things about it. Worst reviews of all state it should've been a comedy and doesn't do anything to earn its status as a true 'video nasty'. The movie merely got caught up in the surrounding hype that all horror videos with graphic cover art were dangerous to the viewing public, mixed with a dose of bullshit journalisation by tabloid writers who had almost definately never seen the fucking film!
Somebody has to stop me from buying this movie, but I just have to see for myself how bad it really is!!!
And yes, I've heard all about the revamped 'teddy bears picnic' theme tune! :(
P.S - UK Schmoes do you know you can actually buy a t-shirt with an exact print of the cover art and many other video nasty/horror movies from rabbitinred.co.uk?! I couldn't believe it! I've just bought myself one with FRIDAY THE 13th THE FINAL CHAPTER!

Any more thoughts on this movie I wonder? It's just been released in a special edition R1. Nobody bought it?

I remember renting this movie, and it is horrible. Probably more poorly made than Ghosthouse(and thats saying alot)and the acting sucks. SPOILERS: Few funny parts I recall however, like the fat cops death(nod to F13th Pt. 2?)and the arm of that one tourist dude gettin' chopped off, it looked like a hose of orange paint spraying out.
4/10...it made me laugh I guess. But ultimately,
The cover art to this movie >>> The actual movie

I just bought this movie on dvd and watched it for the first time a few months ago. The violence and gore were soooo over the top that I couldn't help but be amused. You definitley can't take this film seriously. From what I remember the cast was huge. It seemed like they kept introducing new cast members to be slaughtered every coupld of minutes. Pefect for making fun of with your buddies. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.
