I own the import, my first viewing was on my computer, than I saw it again the next day in theaters. I recommend it highly to those who haven't seen it yet. Buy it!

One of the best damn horror movies I have ever seen. Gory, suspenseful and intense...I'm really looking forward to the uncut version. The altered ending doesn't bother me at all. No doubt that the original UK version is better, but it's still a kick-ass movie nontheless. Quite obviously, I will be there on December 26th at the front of the line.

This is just a thought, but I'm willing to bet (judging from Lions Gate's previous "Unrated" versions and their complete lack of anything really great added to it) that the "Unrated" version is the UK version with the original ending.

Yeah, there's no doubt about that. In fact, I'd be glad if that was that, instead of some random "bloodier" seconds shoved in or stuff that drags down the movie. (I'm looking at you Universal, and your "unrated" cuts)

I own the UK version of The Descent on DVD as well. I probably will purchase the US DVD, however. I would like to watch the film on my television, and not my computer.

The difference is that it cuts to the credits after she stops the car and sees the "vision" of her friend in the passenger seat (any other day I could remember her name, dammit). So, it's a more hopeful ending, but it also is even more confusing.

I will only pick this up if its R1 and the U.K ending. An unrated cut would be cherry on the cake. I will not however compromise over having the U.K ending in R1.
