I need to ask my fellow Canadian schmoes a question, has anyone been able to find the new Reservoir Dogs (15th Anniversary Edition) that was released on Oct. 24th because I have checked Wal-Mart, Future Shop, HMV records, A&B, and Best Buy and not one of them had even heard of it, seriously! Sooo I want to know if I should order it off the internet or has anyone found a store selling them, and if so how much? Thanks any info appreciated.

All I know is what you know. I too looked in FutureShop and BestBuy and didn't see it. I'll ask at my fav HMV (I'm on good terms with them so they might be able to help).

Thanks for the reply m_burlock! When i asked at HMV the guy told me there was no such thing, and i was like no dude it was suposed to get released today (oct 24th) and he was trying to correct me that it's a 10 year anniversary which already came out, really bothered me.

I had the same problem with this disc as well. The guy at HMV told me that he had to order it in because they didn't receive any copies and was told usually the dates get postponed because the distributors have to add the French packaging to the original discs and that takes extra time. However if you live in the Toronto area, I was able to get a copy from Suspect Video...wicked little video store and the case is pretty cool.

Lionsgate (Maple Pictures in Canada) now owns the "ARTISAN" library which *was* handled by Alliance Atlantis. Starting in 2007, Lionsgate gets all the rights back to such films as Reservoir Dogs and I believe the cool "Gasoline Can" Res Dogs will then be released in January.
Import it today folks! Cheap enough....got mine today.

The same damn thing happened when the special editions of Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, and Reservoir Dogs first came out. I got all excited, waited for the release date-- and nothin'. Had to wait two weeks, and finally they came, and yes, I do believe it was my first experience with the GODDAMN STUPID FRENCH ON THE BOX!! AG!!! I don't really care that much anymore, but I still think it's stupid and when yo think about it, makes very little sense...but...I suppose...that's another topic...
In summation:
Damn you, Alliance Atlantis Canada!

What really pisses me off is when they do it for movies that are no different in french, so you have the same goddamn title twice, an example of this is HULK.

Yeah and the other thing is, sometimes, when you take out the cover slip, and turn it around it has the french title in large print and the english title in small print. WTF? Why not just have one side completely english, one side completely french, slap on a sticker saying "version francais incluse" for christ's sake, and stop irritating everyone!!!
//end rant

The funny part is that Alliance *used* to do that: One side in English and one side in French, but because of Canada's retarded language laws, that had to change.
Same thing with video games. You get a French instruction booklet and a bilingual outer sleeve shrinkwrapped to the video game - INSTANT GARBAGE! What exactly is the point? Nothing, just abiding to the retarded language laws. Waste of money and time and creates unnecessary waste.
Remember we have to protect the "nation" of Quebec!?

God I really do hate HMV employees. The dude at the one I went to did the exact same thing! Ugh anyways, same problem here dude. Future Shop,Wal-Mart,CD Plus,Zellers and even tried Rogers Video no one had it or had even heard of it. If they do this with the Oldboy 3 Disc I just may lose it.

I'm really worried that us Canadians aren't going to get the Oldboy 3 Disc. Can anyone confirm that it wil be in stores Nov. 14 in Canada?

I don't know about Oldboy but November 14th I'm getting the extended edition of King Kong and we sure as hell better be getting that over here in Canada or all hell will let loose.

Sorry folks, Alliance Atlantis isn't releasing the 3-Disc Oldboy in the cool tin box for Canada. You'll have to import it.
If you know of Starstruck Entertainment (one location in Sherway Gardens) - they'll have some as they sell imports.
The extended edition of King Kong will be released November 14 so you're ok there.

You are right Mr.Christian. I spoke to my contact at my HMV of choice here "in my town" yesterday. According to their database it'll be released in Canada on January 2nd, 2007 and the SRP is $19.99. :( I guess that makes it official now.
