I use it during LENT as a meditation on Jesus' sufferings, so I'll pick this one up. I hate the blue artwork though.

This is ridiculous. There actually needs to be a Special Edition about a movie where Jesus gets brutally beaten for two hours?

I mean, even if I loved the movie, I'd still think this was stupid. They made the right choice when they released the bare-bones version - it's the type of movie that should stand by itself, and it really doesn't need things like making of featurettes, interviews, etc.

...maybe a commentary though. "So, here's where I especially wanted to make the Jews look like snakes and liars and horrible people."

I say this for people that i can't understand like Mel Gibson (Passion of the Christ is a good film that had to be made) and some of the so called God believing people who hate Jews. Jesus (God made man) was a Jew, God created the Jews so he could come out of them and save the sinners who would receive him as Lord and Savior. Mary, Joseph, John, Peter, Luke were all Jews (converted spiritual Jews). The Holly Spirit used Jews to write the Bible from Genessis to Revelation. A lot of hypocrizy from Gibson and the others. True that film could stand alone but it would be interesting to see how Gibson went at making it under pressure and all.

Well you certainly showed me...Yeah...Your logic is based around the philisophical idea that there is a god. However it is much morel ogical to simply accept that there may not be a supernatural being that sees over everyone and punishes the bad and rewards the good. Now I'm not sure which point you want me to argue (the existance of a god or the truth of the bible), So let me try to put my basic ideas for both out (boring, But bare with me). The accuracy of the bible is easier to rule out. There are morep lot holes in that thing then in Congo. Scientifically and realistically, many things stated in the bible have been proven to be complete bullshit. We have 3/4 of hte country believing hterei s a giant invissible man in the sky...I don't mean to be a downer but...you get hte point... I mean, when it comes to just complete human denial on a massive scale (so large you have to reflect on how we haven't all killed eachothery et), most religions take the cake. As far as an actual god existing...well, You say that out god is not contained by logic, But if he were, surely he could show himself once in a while. He doesen't even visit...Uncle jim manages to visit, and he's a freeloader quite frankly. Yes, I can't prove there is not a god, But I also can't prove your soul gets turned into piece of paper when you die. Simply saying there is a god because god can do anything...that's just fucking dumb...

Ive heard alot of good arguements for the existance of god, But you don't seem to have a good one.

But God and his word are more real than we are, I have never seen you so does this mean you or the others (Elder Predator, Shockwave, Addicted2Bayhem,Danger Cart or Mr.Gray) don' really exist. The movie was great, although not-so-great re-watching value so I don't know about buying just yet. Definately renting it and listening to the commentary. Features look pretty good too.
