Daniel Baldwin Arrested in Calif.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- Actor Daniel Baldwin was arrested on suspicion of stealing an SUV.

Baldwin was stopped Wednesday by officers in Santa Monica who saw him in a white GMC Yukon reported stolen in neighboring Orange County, authorities said.

The actor was taken to jail and booked for investigation of grand theft auto. Bail was set at $20,000.

"The car belongs to an acquaintance of Mr. Baldwin, but he had no permission to take it," said Jim Amormino, a spokesman for the Orange County sheriff's department.

An after-hours call to Baldwin's attorney was not immediately returned.

The 46-year-old actor made news in July when he drove a rented car at more than 80 mph through Los Angeles traffic and crashed into two parked vehicles. In April, he was arrested for investigation of cocaine possession, although prosecutors declined to file felony charges.

Isn't Daniel the black sheep of the Baldwins?

If u were ask to name the Baldwins he would be on the bottom of the list I hate to say or WHO?

This guy has a lot of the same kind of mix as Tom Sizemore: he's a fine actor (watch any of his work as Beau Felton on Homicide), but he's got some serious demons, too.

Still, I'd take a crazy drunk over a sanctimonious religious twit, which is what Stephen has become.

Alec is thee first and still the ONLY active Baldwin in Hollywood that still makes movies. I have seen the other Brothers Stephen and is Billy still goin or what makin flicks but more "B" and STV stuff...

If Stephen is serious and not in it for a gag, I wouldnt. Daniel can take a cue, no, NEEDS to take a cue from his brother as far as I am concerned.

Better to be an alive and healthy religious twit than a dead drug addled convict.

I believe this is the same guy that got so high on (can't remember which drug) he got naked and trashed a hotel room a few years ago before the cops arrested him.

You know, ever since he did "Car 54 Where Are You", things have been shaky for him.

It's the curse of Fred Gwynn, I tell ya.

This reminds me of the Family Guy flashback when Alec is breast feeding his brothers and says "Get a good grip Daniel. Yes. Your the weakest."

aw, I disagree. I think Stephen is uglier. Daniel is just the most over weight.

yeah it's a big shame. I loved him in that movie. I also thought The Fall was fantastic. Papparazzi was a great flick,also.

The actor's personal life never changes my opinion of their work. Everyone has there own shit to deal with.
