And I will not see it. Its one of my most beloved 80's movies, and shouldnt be tampered with.

First Howard Stern wants to remake Porkys. Then they wanna remake Revenge of the Nerds. Now this. I also heard something about a Teen Wolf remake.



IS NOTHING SACRED ANYMORE?!

Exactly why I made this thread. I was watching it myself because I couldnt sleep, and then I finally friggin reconized Shawnee Smith, and got up to get on and check if it was her. When I searched 'Summer School' on IMDb, I saw the link for this version and then one that said "2007" and I lost it.

Little inside information for ya: the Revenge of the Nerds remake has been scrapped, probably won't happen.

when did it get scrapped? i thought they had already begun filming on it? they had a teaser poster and everything?!

Filming had begun - not too far from where I live actually, but the higher ups didn't like what they saw and said screw it.

The number of remakes Paramount has made shows how desperate that studio has been for hits although some of them (Italian Job,Manchurian Candidate,Longest Yard) did very well. The same can't be said for Stepford Wives and Shaft though.
