This is great news and I can't wait to see it! We've already had one kick-ass trailer this week and another one would be even better.

I think you have to live under a rock if you haven't seen a ad promoting the new trailer on Fox lately.

I think it's got tons of potential...hopefully it follows the likings of South Park Bigger Longer and Uncut and the Family Guy movie....cause those were both really good. So I have high hopes for this flick.

Hahahaha, just saw it and loved it!

I dig the slap in the face they gave all the CG animated films with the death of that bunny- looks great.

I didn't see it on the T.V. so hopefully it will be available on the main website soon.

It still wasn't much of a trailer, more like another teaser.

It was too quick, but it was funny.

i thought that trailer blew!

I mean.. Spider Man 3 gave us a good TRAILER... threw us some plot... resemblance of a story... this was just another teaser.. had they advertised it as such, i still would have watched, but i wouldnt have been expecting a TRAILER!

That being said... the Rock and The Hard Place... i didnt find it that comical... i sure hope this movie is going to FUNNY... something deserving of a feature film.. and not just an extended episode from season 498!

Well I wouldn't expect a trailer like Spider-Man 3 out of A Simpson Movie. To its credit- its an animated feature based on a nearly 20 year old show. Its a bitch to sell- you either want to see a Simpson film, or ya dont.

Spidey is a different sport, I mean blast some percussion-have MJ say "whats happening to you"-show Petey helpless-show sandman tough-have harry bitch and moan-show the red, blue and bam-- black! and ya grab the money from the viewing auidience.

Point being, its easy as shit to make an effective Spider-Man 3 trailer. No joke. With a franchise that marketable you'd have to be Helen Keller to not cut an effective advertisement. Now take a movie full of scmucks who have been on the air longer than many schmoes here- schmucks that are on television nearly every day, who don't have the razzle-dazzle advantage of new technological advancements Spidey has as well as every other animated feature- and try to make a trailer. Its probobly tough.

I just saw it and I thought it was hilarious. Great opening with the CGI rabbit. The rock and a hard place bit was very funny to me. :D

it looks horrible.

the jokes are so easy, and it was the worst trailer. just give up groening.

i like season 5 of the simpsons as much as anyone, if not more.

That's not a trailer - just another teaser. Though I did like the rock and a hard place bit, it still wasn't anything to write home about.

It's called a "teaser" - It's supposed to tease, not to give everything away.

Having said that, I laughed aloud 5-6 times when watching that trailer, which is more than I can say for any other trailler in recent memory. I thought it was a very inventive, smart, clever and funny teaser.

I think a lot of people are already predisposed to disliking it...

I personally thought it was hilarious. I hope the actual movie is as good as the footage that's been shown so far.

I thought it was funny. Especially since I've hated most of the CGI movies that have came out this year. That and the "rock and A Hard Place" bit was pretty good.

A very underwhelming trailer. Still, it's not as if I won't see the movie. I'm very, very curious as to how many people will actually end up seeing it. The Simpsons isn't the pop cultural phenomenon it was 10 years ago..it's almost in more of a fans-only territory now...At least, that's how I feel. I've honestly never looked up its ratings or anything, but I doubt it's super high.

But a movie could be a bounce back. I saw some animatics on Youtube, and it looks interesting, but not much funnier than the average episode...

I actually think the ratings have gone back up, Fox indicated this by moving The Simpsons back into their weekday night lineup (it was M.I.A. for a while and moved way back to around midnight, now it's back at 7 or 7:30 I believe) and still gives the new episode a decent time slot on Sundays. You know that if viewership dropped that much, Fox would give it the ole axe insanely quick. (Which I'm secretly hoping for McFarlane's abominations to reach that fate. I'm getting tired of a couple chuckle worthy jokes in exchange for thirty minutes of wasted life.)

I'm actually hoping they use the movie as a way for the show to go out with a bang.

I miss the Simpson days when Homer wasn't invincible.

I hope this gives the series a good "send off" and ends it, but i doubt it.

I'm on the fences with this one. I want to see a good simpsons movie and I do give them props for not going the CG route.

alright.

i know as much about seasons 4 5 6 and 7 of the simpsons as the next guy. i am aware that since those 4 seasons the show has been steadily declining.

i have no doubt that this movie will suck.

i hope im wrong, but in my heart i know im right. the show should have been removed from the air several seasons ago.

and the rock and a hard place bit, not funny. homer was so much better when he was just a dull guy that got hurt, not an invincible retard.
