If were going to happen, yes, yes I would be.
However, as it stands, this shit will never go down, because Lucas has become vicious and senile as of late, and is so blatently evil, he should be in a wheelchair stroking a white cat.
No, I am not excited. Just bitter. Very...very bitter.

I would be extremely excited if Darabont and Spielberg just went ahead with the script without Lucas at this point cause he is the only one holding it back and it's pissing me off.

He wrote the initial script for Indy IV that Lucas rejected. The script had more to do with Indy's son rather than Indy himself. So kudos to George for rejecting it. :)

The first three were perfect for their time. If Indy 4 had come out in 1993 or 1995 I would have been okay. But it'll be twenty years by the time part 4 gets made. It won't feel or look right at all.
No, I don't want to see this happen.
I didn't want Die Hard 4 either, but look where that got me.

I'd be excited if there was any proof that Lucas has actually agreed on a script. We've got a long wait for this to really happen.

I'll be excited if and when the movie actually starts getting made. All the talk and rumors floating around are encouraging, but until something official actually happens, I'll focus my excitement on other upcoming movies.

Same here. If they announced tomorrow that "Indy 4" will be released in Summer 2008. It would immediately become my most anticipated movie of that entire year.

Am I excited. NO!
I don't know why they are wasting their time with this sh!t. There are plenty of new ideas out there if they dig enough for them.

Indy 4 to me is like the old High School crush I can never get over. I'll always look forward to it, it'll always have a place in my anticipating, cinematic lovin heart. Wether it comes out or not, I love the rumors we've been coating over it for years, and it is fun as hell to analyse what adventures Indy could possible have in the 50's.
As for reality- I wouldn't object to not seeing it come out, I only want a fourth film if its better or as good as The Last Crusade. If its as good but not better than Temple of Doom, then I wouldn't want it to come out. We have a wonderful end to a trilogy as it stands, I'm more than happy with the final scene to still be Indy, Henry, Sallah and Marcus riding off in the sunset.
As for the production rumors- Darabounts script is out. Lucas didn't care for it, although Spielberg was quoted as saying it was the best Raiders draft since the first film. This sucks yes, Spielbergs opinion has much more merit to me than Lucas, but it is his baby too, if anything we should be optimistic and hope that Jeff Nathanson's new draft is better, and that David Koepp's doctored screenplay is sharp as hell.
As it stands, both Lucas and Spielberg have said back around august that Koepp should be finished with his script in a few months. I expect a Press Confrence come early next year, with them shooting this summer for a July release in 2008, a month after The Dark Knight. Everything is leading to this assumption. There have been rumors already of location scouting (around Australia) and many Paramount employee's have heard talk around the office. Spielberg is busy producing now and likely looking over the drafts, outlining the film in his head.
I think it is highly unlikely, after all the talk and work being put into this project, that it will simply get shelved.

Hummm...
I am tired to hear people talk about this film, I feel if it is ever made that it will probably leave me with the feeling I got after completing Godfather 3. That it is only a sequel in name and not in quality. All 3 first Indys were very different one from the other yet they felt very alike but a new chapter of Indy after more than 17 years and Harrison Ford looking like this...

Come on get real please, leave Indy in peace in his last crusade and I gotta go buy the trilogy before they remove it from stores and force people to buy a fruity quadulogy.
Agent out!

I don't know why they didn't go to David Koepp from the very beginning. This is just the kind of stuff he writes so well, unlike Darabount or Shyamalin.
Anyway. Be careful what you wish for. Remember how badly we wanted AVP for years and years. Well, these guys could blow it just as well. (See also: Star Wars prequel trilogy).

This better happen otherwise I'll do something very boring and lame and not violent at all etc. etc.
I really want them to make this movie. I'd even be happy if they didn't have a script
