Hello ladies and gents,
I was doing my usual movie news hunt on the Net when I came across a truly wonderful thing. The official trailer for "Fanboys" has been released over at IESB.net and it looks hilarious. :p For those of youwho don't know, it's about a bunch of guys who decide that they want to see "Star Wars: Episode I" 6 months early by travelling to Skywalker Ranch and stealing a print of it. That is an awesome plot!
I am definitely looking forward to this next year. The part when they go to the "Star Trek" convention had me pissing myself. You'll see it for yourself at the link below.
So check it out at the link below and enjoy! (Unfortunately, there was no video footage of Kristen Bell in the Princess Leia bikini but give it time gents, it will come soon! :D)

Looks like it could be fun. I laughed quite a few times during the trailer so I'm looking forward to it.

Looks like nerd hell. I'm sure I'll laugh, but the idea was more fresh seven years ago when it was called Free Enterprise.
Are Star Wars fan(boys) quickly becoming the biggest losers or what? I mean, Trekkies for the most part just seem like harmless nerds. Star Wars guys are off the deep end.
Eh...none of the jokes look that funny. A typical teen comedy with a slightly more highbrow concept.

It's not a teen movie. The characters are 25 - 28 years old. And it's not just a comedy. There's an element of tragedy in there too. One scene in the script made me cry.
This movie is gonna rock.
If it ever comes out.

Isn't one of the friends suppose to be dying of cancer or lukemia? Perhaps some other disease?

IMHO,Free Enterprise would have not seen the light of day without the successes of Clerks, Swingers, and the documenary Trekkies.
Also, it's a historical fact that the Star Trek movies would have not been made without the success of Star Wars.
Having said this, and being a big Star Wars fan myself, I really think that at least some of the Star Wars fans are off the deep end. as you say.
Sad really, but not surprising for anyone that could step back and look at the big picture back then (before episode I came out).
