How do you guys think the Fountain will hold up compared to Aronofsky's other films?? I personally think this one looks amazing- can't wait to see it next week!

i think the fountain will be way....different than aronofsky's other flicks.


in requiem and pi he used hip hop montages and a lot of quick cutting and nifty camera works.

so i've heard, the fountain is not in that same style. the whole premise of the fountain has me wanting it...badly.

that being said, it'll be awesome, but if people are expecting another requiem, they may not get it.

The Fountain looks to be on a completely different level than both Pi and Requiem...much more mature, sophisticated and epic.
This is a grown-up Aronofsky :D

Ps: Don't get me wrong, I loved both Requiem (9/10) and Pi (9/10) I just think this new one will blow them both away, at least, I hope :)

I just got to watch 'The Fountain'. You can't really compare it with other Aronofsky films. You can't really compare with any other films period. It is its own entity. It is visually amazing, wonderfully acted, and brilliantly written. I'm sure you will all enjoy this film very much.

going from the trailer this seems to be a whole different monster compared to his other films

it looks like it might be one of the most visually stunning films ever and i really think i'll love it a hell of a lot more than his other films (Requiem - 10/10 / Pi - 9/10)

The Fountain Looks amazing!. It is definitley gonna be way different from his previous efforts but i think he can pull it off. I hope he still retains some of the raw styler that he has shown in Requiem and PI but it will be hard being such a big production. I haven't seen a good Sci-Fi film in a while and i hope that The Fountain will change that although i am expecting much more than just a sci fi flick.
