Open Water 2: Adrift! WTF is lions gate thinking

If anyone seen the first one. which was loosley based on a true story
how can they make a sequel to a 75 minute movie that stunk



nobody will go see it, and if it goes right to video nobody will rent it

The first did indeed stink, and audiences weren't fooled. I don't think this will make much of a splash, so to speak.

The first one was a really great movie. A rare horror flick that completely and totally gripped me. I've compared it often to The Blair Witch Project because both movies felt real. They didn't feel fake. They were geniunly terrifying.

This will probably be complete crap though.

Then Disney and Universal must be wasting their times with their slew of STV titles. Apparently there is an audience out there buying crap and if crap shows a $$$ = Moooooooore CRAP ;)

As for OPEN WATER 1 which I caught on DVD was egh....... There is the obvious didn't nobody notice that they came back and it took them THAT long to realize that the couple was missing? If the realization was noticed the movie would have been done in less than half and hour.:D

I though the first one was a good time. My friend that I took to it, didn't think so. I am not really intrested in a sequel.

i just watched the German trailer for this movie and it looks pretty scary to me....maybe thats because it really is a fear of mine.


but either way ill probably check this flick out on dvd

I would kind of like a trailer in english, but I think I might know what they were saying in the German trailer. Probably something along the lines of "I can't believe you didn't put the fuckin' ladder down!!"

Didn't like the first, probably will hate the second.

This opened here during the Summer and I must say it's pretty good. It's probably worth mentioning this wasn't filmed as Open Water 2, it was filmed as Adrift and opened here under that title, it's only when Lionsgate picked it up they decided to make it a sequel.
Also I think it's going direct to video in the US.
