Regis Philbin's co-host isn't too happy with Clay Aiken after last Friday's episode.
Kelly and Clay, the guest host for the hour, were interviewing Emmit Smith and his dance partner. Kelly kept asking questions and dominating the interview and Clay couldn't get a word in edgewise. He tried a couple of times but she kept going. He finally reached over and put his hand in front of her to shut her up and asked if Emmit had any previous dance experience. Of course Kelly reeled back and said, "That's a big no-no!"
On this morning's show, Kelly said he was rude and disrespectful. Regis tried to defend him by saying he was probably nervous.
It's about time someone did that to her. She's annoying, doesn't know when to shut up, and looks like a little troll. Clay, you're alright with me! It's too bad you didn't cold-cock her.

After all these years with her and Kathie Lee, I must say that Regis has AMAZING control...:D

I most certainly didn't see it, but, it seems like it probably could have been played off as funny...particularly if the audience saw him try to ask questions and never get a word in edgewise.

Regis is one of the most entertaining people in America. Kelly Ripa ads nothing to the show but a pretty face.
Btw Here is the incident: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pD3LAgehTqc&mode=related&search=
I can certainly agree with Clay. When your asked to come co host you should be respected enough to be able to actually ask questions. Kelly just acted like a typical diva. It was pretty obvious that Kelly was cutting him off on purpose.

Kelly is a brainless fucking bitch and Clay is a wuss, but that was pretty ballsy of him to do that.

See what happens when Regis goes away?
Maybe they should just have her husband co host every time Regis needs time off.
He just lets her ramble on and on and on.....

I watched that Clip and Kelly dominates the segement and poor ol Clay is quietly sitting there smiling. It's not professional what Clay did but he should have jumped in there and Kelly should have given him the opportunity to do so.
WELL as long as SHE is on the show I see no future bookings for Mr. AIken. ;)
And on the next show when Regis eventually is back they talk about that interview.
Kelly does have a point but the issue that she kept talking and talking was not addressed and stoopid Regis does not mention it when he claims that he saw bits and parts.
I am soooo turned off by ppl that plays vicitim.
oh woe me

I can't stand anyone associated with this whole situation so I dont' give a shit either way. But what I want to know is why the fuck was Emmitt Smith still wearing his outfit from the show? Does that make any sense? Whatever...funny shit anyway. She didn't look too happy and that's makes me happy! :D

I've never liked Kelly Ripa. And that stupid commercial (where she is having dinner with her husband and reaches over the table and takes a stain out of his clothes while singing in that god awful tone and making those god awful faces) just makes me want to puke. I don't know how Regis puts up with her shit! Oh wait I do, lots of $$$.

Rosie Rips Kelly for "Homophobic" Remark
http://us.video.aol.com/video.index.adp?mode=1&pmmsid=1773946
Rosie O'Donnell started a bitchfight with fellow morning-diva Kelly Ripa when she accused Ripa of making a "homophobic" remark.
The fracas started on "The View" when O'Donnell said that Ripa was "homophobic" for her scolding of Aiken when he co-hosted her show the other day and playfully put his hand over her mouth, prompting Ripa to snap, "I don't know where that hand has been." Rosie suggested that if Aiken had been a "straight guy, a cute guy" or, for instance, Mario Lopez, Ripa wouldn't have made the same remark. (Aiken, of course, has never acknowledged that he's gay.)
Ripa was incensed enough to call into the show immediately, firing away that Rosie's accusation was "outrageous" and "irresponsible" and that she made the remark last Friday because it was "cold and flu season" and that Aiken had shaken the hands of the studio audience. Rosie wasn't buying it, and acknowledging that she admires Ripa, said that "from where I sit" as an openly gay woman Ripa's response was homophobic.
Kelly, for her part, continued to pile on Aiken as well, saying that his behavior on last week's episode was "disrespectful," including the fact that he never thanked her for the opportunity to co-host.

What is Rosie talking about?
Ripa MAY have been suggesting the fact about hands going over her mouth and face but again like I said is not the issue.
The bitch kept yappin and yappin. If she wanted to dominate the interview then the bitch should have had her chair next to Emmet. :D

Jeez, no offense to the lesbians or gays, but come on. Kelly didn't even remotely say anything resembling a homophobic remark. Rosie, as usually, is making things apper worse than they seem...

I watched the "View' today and saw the clip of the Kelly/Clay incident and I agree with Rosie- it was meant as a gay remark. When she was on the phone on the View Ripa said she was upset cause she has kids and it was a germ thing (she said he had been shaking hands with all the audience members and didn't want those germs). That is not how her "joke' came across. She said it with a sexual inflection and followed the joke with a hand gesture that showed what she was saying meant MORE than a fear of audience germs-I took it as meaning cause he has had gay sex, and so did Rosie. Most of the View women disagreed with Rosie and thought Kelly was just mad about his hand being generally germy but I'm with Rosie on this one.
I have a hard time watching the Regis Kelly show cause she is always so dominating of the conversation. Regis knows this and alludes to it all the time. Clay was JOKING when he put his hand over her mouth. She got shown up for the blabber mouth she is and got really mad and struck out at him in a horrible way. And now instead of apologizing, she is saying he rude or innappropriate. I have never been a Clay fan (or a non fan) but Ripa was wrong in this situation. I think she was exposed for being a bitch.
Nest step is they will do the show again together and they will be all lovey dovey in order to salvage her career. (IMHO)

I never knew Rosie to be the expert resident lesbian of morning talk shows. That was pretty rude of Clay, but pretty funny. I think Kelly was in the wrong to bring up the incident so publicly like that, Imagine how he shut up those other people in american idol. lol

My first thought when she made the hand retort...smartarse homophobic jibe...and it's almost as if she realises how bang out of order she is as she is saying it. I'm not a big fan of Rosie, but I think she's dead on the money here.
I always liked Clay...he seems like a pleasant enough chap, and whilst I don't like his music I appreciate the fact that he can really sell a tune.

But Rosie is in the wrong because a few months ago Clay did an interview where he was asked if he was a homosexual and he dodged the question, who is Rosie to publicly out Clay like that? Not that Im saying anything negative towards homosexuality, Clay has never acknowledged that hes gay.
Lynn7
11-21-2006, 08:07 PM
I don't think Rosie was outing him. I think Ripa made the "joke" to play on the public perception that he is gay. If he is gay or if he isn't gay, it wasn't nice of Ripa to make that "Joke." It was very snotty. She was having a Kramer/ Gibson hissy fit in a pique of anger. I think the common denominator here is the unbelievable egos of millioniare celebrity stars. They get mad and watch out!
When he put his hand on her mouth he was obviously joking. What she does not get is that he was probably nervous about cohosting (cause he was out of his element) and he was probably earnestly prepared for his interviews today and then she did not let him get in one word. and for someone who cannot keep her hands to herself she is very hypocritical. She always has her hands all over Regis.

"Rude"
"Unprofessional"
etc.
For crying out loud, this is frigging Regis and Kelly, right? This isn't the nightly news or Dateline, or some show with an illusion of professionalism. It's a dumb morning show. Clay was making a joke and Kelly apparently has no sense of humor.

Kelly Ripa is definitely a bitch on this one. For Chrissakes, she's practically implying that he's a goddam leper because he tried to ask a question and make light of the fact that she was dominating the interview. If he had just interrupted her, it would have seemed rude. Did the audience not laugh when he covered her mouth? Why am I even thinking about this?

I'm just amazed that this little incident has become a big deal.
Kelly Ripa is a spoiled, attention grabbing cunt with no talent, no brain, and a big mouth. I can't stand "Live" because of her. I hope the ratings for this piece of shit go into the cellar so she has to go back to sucking dick for loose change. It's the only thing she could possibly be good for with that mouth. And when she does, good riddance.

"On September 14, 2006, Ripa broke the world record for custard pie throwing, beating a record held by NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth. She threw 24 custard pies in one minute, beating Kenseth's record of 17 pies set a week earlier on her show when he threw them at Ripa. A representative from the Guinness Book of World Records was on hand to certify both claims."

Wow. Clay Aiken acted like a complete IDIOT. Now don't get me wrong, I can't stand Kelly Rippa.. but in regards to the whole Rosie situation, she by no means meant anything towards Aken's sexuality. (But come on now... we all know. 'Not that there's anything wrong with that'.)

Kelly is completely in the wrong. She sucks. I don't think Clay was rude at all. Kelly was rude b/c she doesn't know how to conduct an interview. She just wanted to be the center of attention. I hate her!

Ripa didnt' say anything on her show today about it, even when Regis made a Tom Cruise joke and said "We don't want another celebrity feud on our hands" she let it go by.
Rosie didn't comment anymore either but it was said she had spoken to Ripa and then Aiken after the show yesterday.
So anyway, here is a clip of Clay Aiken at the American Music Awards last night. It was perfect.

Alright, i know Kelly Ripa likes to talk and all, and what Clay Aiken did was nice, but cmon, he shouldve done something a little more professional than that.
and the whole homophobic remark by rosie, that was taken completely out of context! So Aiken covers her mouth and she says "i dont know jhwere that hand has been" is automatically assumed to be a homophobic remark?!? Thats completely idiotic, leave it to Rosie to make a big deal out fo nothing!

Clay sounds like an alright guy. Go sell your Tide markers Kelly Rippa

After watching that clip, that whore was definitely making comment regarding Aiken's sexuality. Come the fuck on, "I don't know where that hand has been, honey!" with the slight arm motion....definitely meant to be what it was, a homophobic innuendo.
Fuck Kelly Ripa.........no, literally, I'd fuck her into a coma, but she's still a cunt.
