Anne Hathaway is to star alongside Steve Carell in Get Smart, a film adaptation of the 1960s TV spoof co-created by Mel Brooks. Get Smart depicts the clumsy adventures of two secret agents from an agency called CONTROL, as they battle against an evil organisation named KAOS. Filming is to begin in March.

I'll see it only because I'm a huge fan of Carell.

I dont think Carrell is selling out. I remember hearing about this before the 40 year old virgin came out, in which case, he was probably looking for any role he could get at that point. Now he has a little more pull prolly. I also thought he was gonna get hurt by contractual obligations with Evan Almighty which seemed to be finalized before he hit it big with the mass audience, but the trailer looks very promising, and he's prolly the only one who could keep it funny.

This term is so contrived.

I like Anne Hathaway, but as Agent 99? I'm not sure about this casting.

I like Carrell, but I'd rather see Jim Carrey as Maxwell Smart.

Waaaayyyy too obvious. I think the lead is well casted.

And I thought the show was awesome.

I think Ms. Hathaway makes a great 99.

But, I wish I see an older actress as 99. Like say, Cameron Diaz.

Anyway, I'm going to see it because I use to be a fan of the late Don Adams and I love most of the original series. And it could be refreshing to see a more mainstream comedy in the flood of R-rated sex-inflected comedies.

Can't wait to see it.

Carell has been attatched to this for some time, and if you ask me he is the right person for the role.
