*yawn* what is WE WERE SOLDIERS still doing in the top 10? Heh..

Good to see A BEAUTIFUL MIND still there, it should end up with about $170 to $180 million when it finishes...

I'm getting frusterated. When the hell will Fridays #'s be out? I'm anxious to see them. I keep going to www.leesmovieinfo.com (http://www.leesmovieinfo.com) every couple minutes and they still aren't up.

Mike, you could e-mail Lee and ask him.... I've e-mailed him a couple of times and he seems to be a nice guy...

I think I'll wait a little longer before I e-mail him, if it gets to be too long then I'll probably do it. By the way, are you going to check out Kissing Jessica Stein this weekend? Probably not but I think you should.

It looks like I might actually win Box Office Forecast Challenge at www.leesmovieinfo.com (http://www.leesmovieinfo.com) this weekend. Here's what I predicted for Changing Lanes:

Friday - 5.2 Million
Saturday - 5.5 Million
Sunday - 4.8 Million

Total - 15.5 Million

I was right on with my prediction for Friday, we'll see how I do the rest of the weekend.

Anyway, I guess audiences aren't tired of adult thrillers yet. Despite a new one opening pretty much every weekend Changing Lanes will still take the #1 spot at the Box Office this weekend. Another adult thriller is opening next weekend, Murder By Numbers with Sandra Bullock, and it's obvious that will be another hit. So I have just one question, when will adults get sick of adult thrillers? Especially when there's so many of them at once.

I was actually thinking The Sweetest Thing would do better and take the #1 spot since it's the only romantic comedy out right now and audiences love Cameron Diaz, plus the movie appeals to girls and guys. But I guess I was wrong. Oh well, it should gross around 10 Million for the weekend, which isn't too bad, but I expected it to do much better.

And even my prediction of 6 Million for Frailty was too big of a guess, despite great trailers and reviews, Frailty should gross around only 4 Million this weekend. One thing that might have had a negative impact on it is the disturbing content, but that still shouldn't keep horror fans away. At the most I think Frailty might finish it's Box Office run with 20 Million, but it's destined to become a cult classic and a success on video.

Oops, when I started doing my last post Horror Whore hadn't posted yet. But then when I was done and posted my reply hers was up and mine came afterwards. Now it sounds like I'm bragging with the "It looks like I might win Box Office Forecast Challenge" opening line. Sorry about that Horror Whore, I didn't mean to come off that way. Anyway, good luck to you http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif.

Frailty I believe will have great legs and extremely small declines. It's a small yet phenomenal film, destined to become a classic.

Damn! I really suck at this challenge over at www.leesmovieinfo.com (http://www.leesmovieinfo.com). I said Changing Lanes was going to make a grand total of 9.6 million. Mike & Horror Whore, you guys kick ass! Damn! I got a long ways to go before I start doing better.

Well I'm glad to see Changing Lanes in the top spot, I thought The Sweetest Thing was going to have the highest gross this weekend. Panic Room is still doing great, not far behind The Sweetest Thing.

Thanks Strider,
but I don't kick too much ass, my predictions for Saturday and Sunday will be off by quite a bit. Horror Whore has a better chance at winning than I do. Oh well, I've already won over at leesmovieinfo.com three times so I won't complain. And Strider, just keep trying, you'll win one of these times. All you can do is keep guessing.

New Best Friend opened with $26,000 on 100 screens for a very embarassing $260 dollar per screen average!!!!!!

I read that it comes on video in June.

Yeah I know, NEW BEST FRIEND did horrible. I actually thought it would open with 150,000 and gross a total of 250,000-300,000. I was WAY off. It looks like it will leave theaters with 60,000-70,000. I too read that it comes out on VHS/DVD in June, I'll check it out then.
