Listen... I've got a movie... I've got the actors, screenplay, director, and money...
But I can't shoot it. Problem: I don't know how to Market it.
PREMISE: "the last two hours of my life" about a boy who decides to tell everyone his life story, and then shoot himself, and the chaos that outbreaks when the community hears what he is doing.
PROBLEM: Should it be a Documentary-style?
Should it be hollywood style?
What is the answer? Who should this movie appeal to? Kids or grown ups? Blockbuster or independants... Cause I can't shoot it for both (And I don't want to cheat anyone out of a great idea..)

I like the idea. It has good potential. I would like to see a film like that made in a realistic way. If you do it in a fluffy, overproduced Hollywood way, it loses some of it's credibility... But of course I haven't read your script, so I don't really know how it should be done. Are you willing to e-mail your script to other people so we could read it?

Allright... I'll sneak my disk into work and try to get the first couple of scenes out there.

Sounds interesting, VIRGIL...
I guess if it were up to me, from the short description you have given about the plot of the film, I'd have to go with a combination of both (ultimately it would be a 'Hollywood style' movie and not a 'Documentary-style' movie).
I guess the only way this method would work is if in the screenplay the boy has made a video of himself, before his death. The movie could start with the video being played and viewed by someone. The boy would be speaking to the camera in the video he made, and the scene could dissolve into another flashback sequence with the voice-over of the boy, narrating the story.
As Tuukka made out, it's not going to be easy to make a final decision without reading the script. If you are sending it or snippets of it out, I wouldn't mind having a look. My e-mail address is on my profile (click the mail button next to my name in the post).
