Hey Tuukka - Thanx for the advise and same goes for the guy who wrote all that stuff about the first script and all. I totally agree with him and advise anyone not to boast about writing a script. I wrote m first "trail script" in April. And am currently working on a new "movie" script and have started already on two tv series. Let me tell you that the tv series script writing is the hardest!!

I am living in Turkey, and with a few friends of min working on a project which we could film next summer. Planning is very important for a first project and thinking up a great story is very essential if it is going to be the first movie that people will know your name by. I am inolved as a script writer in the project ( apart from the one I am working on at the mo') and would like to start directing on my own after the first project is done and released and am well known.

Why did I tell all this ? Well, I am wondering if I have a small portfolio of 3 movies and go to the US - I'm thinking of going there gor a masters degree in three years - will it be sufficiant to go and knock on all doors for directing jobs?

Thanx. C ya!

I can't really say much, since I don't know exactly what kind of projects you are talking about... Full lenght films on 16mm or 35mm? Short movies on video? Are you making "art films" or something very commercial and mainstream? That will affect a lot on your chances of getting work.

I will be involved in a few short movies this year and next year too. Main project is 35 mm full length movie, I also have plans for movies and series on television. My main focus is 35mm full length. But I have a variety of projects.

How are you going to get financing for your 35mm film? Afterall it will cost at least 100.000$ to make.
