Continuing story.

How about starting a story and adding to it. So For example I start a story ARC and the next person goes on at the end of the last post.

Like a Sim group but with no main plot, we just write anything from suspence to horror and so on. We will introduce a few main characters so we can continue easier.

What's everyone think, If no it doesn't matter but otherwise I say lets go for it.

I though we could post here in a Post and if it gets to long make a part two and then a part three and ect. That's if it's ok with the moderator's. Would it be O.K Quentin, or Joblo.

Cool, it sounds interesting and it's something I've tried personally as well, with generally unsuccesful results (at some point the story usually goes whacky). But I would LOVE to see how it works here! I always like to be optimistic...

What I would suggest is that you start a new thread with a BOLD title-head and maybe even ask people to email Tuukka to ask for "turns"-- that way it doesn't get too out of control with newbies popping in and writing stupidities all the time (if this happens, Tuukka can always DELETE the unwanted replies).

When someone finishes their addition, they could write the next person's name at the bottom, i.e. Tuukka is next or Nightflyer is next...

Just make all of these rules obvious at the top of the post and I think it should go well.

Once it gets to a certain length, please let me know (I will check in as well and would like to participate also), and I will take the entire FIRST PART and post it somewhere on joblo.com, which only we can access, that way, it doesn't take too much space on the boards.

Then, you can continue on PART TWO on the boards. What do you all think? Sounds good? Any other ideas/suggestions?

That sounds good Jo. If no one else has any objections I'll start it of in a day or so.

I think the taking in turns idea is probably the easiest, that way we don't go in different directions.

All those that want to participate, leave a yes in the next post in this thread and then well take it in turns on who's name come through.

I wanted to post this post in the forum where we're writing Traveler but i thought "naaaah that's only for the story writing".

I have an idea: If we finish Traveler successfully and want to keep on writing "continuess stories" y dont we do it like this: the next in line after the one that started Traveler (Crynot) starts off the next story and Nightflyer goes to the ending. Then Joblo starts off the 3rd story and so on. We can have like a rotation thing if u know what i mean.

What do u guys think ??

It took me ten minutes to figure what you mean. Not u, it's me, I'm so tired my minds a jumble. NEED SLEEP.

We could do that, the only thing is if where half way through the writting list and someone finishes it, it will go out of wack. The way this first story arc went, it was finished in three writers and at the moment we have eight.

Maybye if someone has an idea for a new adventure, just finish the current one quickly and then begin the new one in your same post. Hows that sound?

Also if you want to do it in Script Form It dosen't matter to me, It would probably be easier.

I personally don't think that we should worry about the next few stories at this point, and rather, concentrate on this one for now. I mean, that's actually one of the biggest problems that I think we all generally have, in that, once we begin one thing, our minds float on over to another and we never really successfully finish what we started. Am I right? I've fallen into this trap on several occasions myself.

I would personally like everyone to concentrate more on this first "trial run", and even more importantly, once it's done, concentrate on providing each other with the proper feedback, constructive criticism to improve ourselves in the future.

I am doing this because I WANT to get better and listen to people's feedback on my posts. What do the rest of you think?

Also, maybe we should have a concurrent topic running while we write called THE TRAVELLER FEEDBACK in which people could provide ongoing criticism (always construtive, of course) to the writers as they present their stories. Interesting?

JoBlo nailed it on the head! For me personally A) I am the king of starting something and not finishing it - I have probably a dozen unfinished scripts, and B) I want to receive feedback and I want to give it also.

Remember, just e-mail me and I will send you a copy of my (unfinished for now) script.

Yeah Jo your right. I just had that idea for the future thats all. But we should now only concentrate on Traveler.
As for Feedback im totally for it because i need some and i would be glad to give people some.
