I know that most of u if not all of u want to be SOMETHING in the movie-industry. Well just tell me what:

a) Director (this includes Writer aswell. If u want to be only a writer then that goes under (c) )
b) Actor
c) Other (if so specify)

Personaly i go for (b) but i like writing aswell and never really thought about Directing but if my main goal doesnt work out then Directing is my next step.
For all of u who want to be actors there is a great site called AWOL (Acting Workshop On-Line): http://www.execpc.com/~blankda/acting2.html

For those who want to be writers there is also a good site: http://www.visualwriter.com/HowTo/theft.htm

Now tell me the sites YOU know if u know any.
Hope i helped.

Defenitly Writer/Director.

However I'm in a rut where I'm wondering if it'll ever happen.

I think everybody on this board (who knows it or is in their subconsious) wants to be a writer/director/performer. After high, my family and I are moving to Flagstaff for me college...good writing and directing classes up there...

If I don't make it up to my real dreams and goals in life, I can always become a data processor or another type of faceless job (no offense to anyone if he/she has that sort of job...I know its for the money!).

I agree MacMurfy!
Hey I have been asked by my acting teacher to develop a script and direct my own show! I am going to write that script and already have a good idea. So who ever wants to know my idea and give me some feedback just say "I" and if ur e-mail isnt in ur profile then give it to me!

Definately sound! But if the part is different than most woman parts, I would act.

Director/writer. At first I wanted to be only a director, but later on I have found a passion for writing. I like to write stuff with other people, but I prefer to write the final draft by myself. I always direct by myself everything I write. I don't think I could write stuff to anyone else, but I could easily direct someone else's script.

I would like to just write, Im not really big on directing. Then again Im not really all that sure about the jobs of a director so who knows maybe Ill change my mind someday but for now, I just wanna write.

Terrence Malick was only supposed to write the script for Thin Red Line but after he had to take the director's chair aswell.
This is what u mean Tuukka. I also think like that it is because the writer visions it in his head as he writes it and then if anyone else is going to direct it would ruin the whole effect he had in his head. So usually the writer is the director aswell.
