Ok ur on a tight budget so uve got a great script great characters just one problem no effects let me guess what ur gonna say fake a blair witch thing but heres the thing u want ur movie to be original not some rip-off film.Oh and how bout weapons im making my movie right now and i wanna come up with some funny and effective weapons and death scenes pleeze help me and ill add ur names to the credits.

Props, the one thing I would dread if I started making my own movie. Where to find em, how to make em, what will work and what wont.

I don't know man, you can probably go to a costume shop and pick up yer fake blood as well as some cool, cheap weapons.

You can get animals blood and different organs from a slaugherhouse. It should be pretty cheap. If you are altering the colors of your film, you can use black blood. For example if your pictures are in shades of blue and green, black blood looks just like the real thing. Try buying blueberry soap, for example. It's really cheap.

I would advice to use knifes and stuff like that as weapons. Gun replicants are pretty expansive to rent.

If you just use your imagination, you can achieve really impressive death scenes. It doesn't really require money, only imagination and filmmaking skills.

Anyway, if this is your first film, try not to be too ambitious. Make it short and modest, otherwise you will screw up. Everyone does, if they are too ambitious with their first short movie.

A Good Idea for a Horror Movie: A High School Shop Techer is disgruntled over his divorce with his wife and takes out his aggression on students.

Some Death Scenes: Strap someone to a table and place them underneath the Drill Press and drive it through their head. Or run them through the table saw. Maybe weld a piece of meatl and get it super hot and place it onto someones chest.

Hey if you want to know of a good way to fake bleeding wounds i've got one word for you condoms.

I know it may sound weird but fill them with fake blood strap them down under clothes, pop them and watch them gush all over the place.

If you want a cheap and edible fake blood, try using golden syrup with red food coloring added, if its to thick just add water till your happy with the consistency. Alternately you could add green coloring to make ooze or slime.

But remember it may taste nice, but if used to much it may cause cavities.
