Suggestion: Redo post count titles

HOW DO YOU GET TO BE A SENIOR/SUPER SCHMOE?
There are six levels of Schmoe-dom on this message board.

Infant Schmoe (Minimum Posts: 0)
Junior Schmoe (Minimum Posts: 50)
Senior Schmoe (Minimum Posts: 250)
Super Schmoe (Minimum Posts: 1000)
King of all Schmoes (Minimum Posts: 10000)
Administrator (that's me!)


I would like to formally suggest that you rework the post count titles for the boards. The current titles do not fit a board that is as old as this one. What is it, approaching 10 years now? Geez has it been that long already?

Anywho... at this point there is several score of people who hold the title "King of all Schmoes" which just doesn't seem right. I understand that this is in large part credited to the schmoes to participate in the guessing games. And I understand that adding new titles may lead to more postwhoring (which is silly in my opinion, as if your post count makes your opinion on movies any more valid... but it happens) which may lead to more bandwidth necessary which could be a reason not to rework the titles.

Heres what I was thinking...

Infant Schmoe: 0 - 49
Junior Schmoe: 50 - 499
Senior Schmoe: 500 - 4999
Super Schmoe: 5000 - 9999
Hardcore Schmoe: 10000 - 24999
King of all Schmoes: 25k and up

Something along those lines. This way it encompasses a broader range of post counts. After all... you can only have so many "Kings" before you start to question their validity. :) Maybe add a special title to the person who has the highest post count, if that's possible.

Good idea, bad idea? Let me know what you think.

I like my newly acquired "super schmoe" title, and I don't want it taken away from me. It's not that I'm a snob. It just looks nice.

I'm happy with the titles, except I think we should have one or two in between Super Schmoe and King Of All Schmoes.

Like, something at 5000 posts and something else at 8000.

pointless really, not as if post count means anything and taking into account how old the board is would mean upping the limits in another 5-6 years so why not just raise it some some stupidly high amount now? :p
