The Descent?

So i just watched the Descent, a pretty good movie, and i have a big question for those who have seen it. Juno one of the main characters played by Natalie Mendoza has some weird shit surrounding her. at the beginning of the movie we see her interacting with the husband of another character very closely. Then later on in this movie afte rthe husband has died in a car crash, we here her say "Everybody lost something in the crash." We also see Juno acting very closely with Holly, who, from my eyes, seemed to be a lesbian. I am just wondering if anyon can clear this up for me?

Juno was cheating with Paul (Sarah's husband). It was touched on at the start of the fim, but it's confirmed when Sarah notices the necklace Juno used to stab Beth had one of Paul's favourite phrases engraved on it. That's the part when everyone realises Sarah's husband gave Juno the necklace and they were having an affair.

I don't know what you mean with Holly. I never noticed anything funny between them. The only thing I can think of for why they were so close is because Juno was the only person Holly knew before the trip. They were old friends, but the rest of the group didn't know her. So Holly probably just felt closer to Juno for that reason.

Well news has broken today on The De2cent. Stupid title. Reminds me of Se7en actually. The only thing that is known at the moment is that Christian Colson will be returning as producer. Truth be told I avoided this film because I thought it would be about a bunch of gabby batches. Like Death Proof but in a cave. That's what my brother told me when he saw it. But I think another movie called The Cave came out around the same time and I might have gotten them mixed up. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Oh, <gag> the Cave is a terrible movie. Descent had some really good parts to it. It could have been better, of course, but for the budget they pulled it off well.

I would be excited about a sequel if they would delve (nudge nudge) into more details about the cave dweller society.

I watched The Descent a couple of weeks ago and man was I ever BORED! You guys can all go throw your stones but I thought this film was a droning shitfest. My initial instince to stay away was right. Not looking forward to a sequel obviously. I understand most everyone loved it but it just wasn't for me. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Descent is definitley best on its first viewing, or if you watch it very rarely. After you see it once you start getting annoyed by all the stupid shock/scares and music, it gets annoying. But great writing, loved it, saw it a few times.

Did NOT get the Juno with Sarahs husband thing...

I didn't like The Descent either. I didn't think it was boring though. Actually there were some moments of decent suspense. But I found the movie to be decidely mediocre. It actually starts off pretty good. There are some INCREDIBLY claustrophobic and terrifying moments of them having to go through some areas that are EXTREMELY small. I was squirming and on the edge of my seat in these scenes. But then we the creatures are introduced and from there on the movie becomes your standard creature feature. It's like Alien and Predator and The Cave or any other movie of it's ilk. It's well made and the acting was fine but after a terrific start I found the movie to be incredibly meh.

It gets a 5/10 from me.
