Just wanted to give everyone a big heads up. I work at Blockbuster and we recieved our copies of TCM: The Beginning in this week. And lo and behold- the UNRATED edition kicks all kinds of unholy ass. It is bad ass, with a capital BAD ASS. Every gory angle is shown- nothing is left to the imagination- and I'm gonna have a lot of disgusted, angry customers to deal with- excellent.

all the gore ever wont be able to turn this into a remotely decent film

Hey Deckard, I'm assuming you haven't seen the Black Christmas remake and that's why it's your avatar?

Oooo...I sense slight hostility in people's responses...anyways, I liked TCM: The Beginning...so I was excited to see more gore. And I also highly enjoyed the Black Christmas remake zombievictim...sure, it wasn't even D-grade, "quality"-wise but for entertainment purposes, it was an absolute blast. But I can see how people wouldn't like it. And...yeah...sorry...if, everyone else hates these movies. Just thought I'd give the heads up to those that did like it...

Mmk well thanks for replying. I just wondered. I wasn't very into that movie. The thing was I was SO pumped for it. So it was hard to enjoy it even if it was there just for dumb fun.

And I will be renting TCM: The Beginning this week through Netflix so hopefully it's not a complete shitfest.

I personally liked TCM: The Beginning a lot (I'm a fan of all the films with the exception of Next Generation.) I will definetly be buying the unrated version tuesday.

So what did everyone think who saw the UNRATED cut?

I saw the film in theaters and plan on renting it soon. It was about 50x better than the terrible 2003 remake.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) (4/10)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (8/10)

He's not on crack for thinking it's better than Hostel.

Okay, drugs aren't to blame here(Sorry to all the crackheads I may have offended, weed is fine by me by the way). Hostel was way more viseral and brutal than Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning in my opinion. The camera cut away too soon on many scenes in TCM: TB that could have been good. I will say the ending was cool, not very typical of horror nowadays. I got to stick by Hostel though it was my kind of sick sh*t, good times.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning
***6/10***

-guy sawed in half
-chick throut slashed

Hostel and Rejects had the hype but no (little) extreme gore...this flick does...uncut that is...

I havent seen posted yet...
The production designer for 1st Howling was Bob Burns...of the original Saw.
If you own the Howling DVD, go to the scene where the 2 journalists enter Dick Millers occult store...As they enter the front door, you can see Grandma sitting infront of a window in her rocker on the right hand side of the frame... A nice little cameo
